We were in Stockholm as...
We were in Stockholm as part of a Viking Cruise . We booked this excursion separately from Viking and we are glad we did . It was much less expensive using Viator , a nice small group and our guide Dante was prompt , clear and extremely knowledgeable. We enjoyed the Vasa Museum so much !

Deeply Educational and Entertaining
Excellent day tour to areas rich with Viking history. Tor was our guide and he was AMAZING! He was an encyclopedia of knowledge and information. He provided the group so many fine details and entertaining stories that really brought the history and locations alive. Highly recommend this tour and having Tor as your guide!

Comfortable and safe. Carl the pilot and Carolina? were very personable and informative. The boat did arrive late and I would question if it was 1 hour 45 minutes. There was some confusion regarding where to wait for the boat, other than that, the trip was as described.

Excellent
This was a great overview on the history of Sweden and Stockholm. My tour guide, Sebastian, was very knowledgeable on a large range of subjects. He touched on history, geography, geology, government, people, life, culture, everything. I would highly recommend doing this tour your first morning in the city. That way you can appreciate a lot of the little things you see and experience later on your trip. Plus its an easy intro to the main part of the city and it will inform you on what to focus on with your time. Also if you can, seek out Sebastian. He was a top notch tour guide.

Just like the Swedish capital, Stockholm tours combine dynamic city living with nature escapes. Stroll the colorful squares and cobblestone streets of the medieval Old Town, then enjoy the ritual of fika, or a coffee and sweets break, with your local guide. A Baltic Sea archipelago, Stockholm may be even better explored by the water. Take a kayak or boat ride between the islands’ traditional fishing cottages, centuries-old fortresses, and the restored sunken Vasa warship. If you’d prefer to go further off the grid, visit Stockholm’s nearby forests and meadows to hike among Viking runes, boar, and elk.
