What are people saying about Inverness

Would recommend Neil and Rabbies
We did the one day Isle of Skye tour and we were lead by Neil. We had a wonderful time. The stops were wonderfully planned and we lucked out with amazing weather. The coach was comfortable. Neil was great answering questions and giving us history and anecdotes along the way. He was personable and friendly, his dad jokes are top notch. There were plenty of bathroom stops available. I would suggest bringing snacks and water as the last stop, a little bar only offered chips/crisps and a few candy type items or tuna sandwiches (they offer more but that was what was left available for purchase). That was about 5pm and we still had about 2.5 hours left and lunch was at 1. This might be helpful information for people traveling with anyone who needs to plan their food timing. I would recommend this tour to anyone. I would suggest bringing a couple dollars/pounds for the restrooms, they are FREE but have signage saying they are community run public bathrooms run by volunteers. They have donation boxes, I left some money as this is a nice service they offer and the toilets were all very clean and in good condition.

Amazing tour with an amazing guide.
I went on the Isle of Skye tour on October 28. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had some of the most wonderful stories. He is quite a storyteller and drew the audience into the tales of not only history by the local lore as well. I’ve been all over the world taking tours. This was by far my favorite tour. He even stopped at an unscheduled location so we could see the highland cows. As far as the scenery goes, the landscape was quite majestic. It was far more beautiful than I imagined.

Fantastic Day in Speyside
We had an excellent day touring Speyside with George. He clearly knows the area well and picked three great distilleries that gave us a good mix of experiences: a full tour, a few small-batch producers, and plenty of tastings along the way. He also filled in a lot of the history of the region and the individual distilleries as we drove between stops, which made the day feel like more than just a string of tastings. What stood out most was how much effort George put into making sure we saw as much as possible. When we asked about adding a fourth distillery that wasn’t on the plan, he made it work without any fuss. He was easygoing, flexible, and good company the whole day. If you only have one day in Speyside, this is a fantastic way to experience it. We’d book with George again without hesitation.

Fun day in the rain and wind
As with most tours they are only as good as the guide. Danny was top notch. He was engaging and knowledgeable of the locations visited. If I had one negative thing about the tours, it would be that, it would be nice to have an actual guide at each site rather than the driver talk about the site on the way there. I realize this might not be feasible, perhaps it isn't allowed because you might be interfering with local guides at the site, but it would be nice to have someone there who could answer questions on the spot. Otherwise, I have no complaints., except the weather which no one controls.

Inverness, the biggest city in the Scottish Highlands, is an excellent base from which to explore the area. There are dozens of Inverness tours to choose from, including excursions to 1,000-year-old castles, the Isle of Skye, whisky distilleries, Outlander and Harry Potter filming locations, and a Bronze Age burial site. Just outside Inverness, you can also visit the historic Culloden battlefield as well as Loch Ness—you may not see the lake’s famous monster, but you’ll see her likeness everywhere.
