Itinerary

In the morning, make your way to Bergen Station, where you'll board a comfortable train for the scenic ride to Voss. Disembark in Voss and transfer to a bus for a ride through the area's quaint villages to Gudvangen. Between the months of May and September, the bus will also travel the steep road to Stalheimskleiva, comprised of hairpin turns and epic views.

Once you reach Gudvangen, step aboard a boat to cruise the UNESCO–listed fjords. See both Aurlandsfjord, a picturesque fjord that offers stunning views, and the Nærøyfjord, one of the narrowest in Europe and surrounded by mountains.

Go ashore in Flåm, where you'll have a shopping and lunch break (own expense). Next, hop aboard the Flåm Railway, which takes you on a spectacular journey into the mountains. Get panoramic views and great photo ops of the surrounding fjords, disembarking in Myrdal.

Finally, transfer to your final train back to Bergen, where this tour ends.

Wow! What an amazing day! The scenery is some of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. Everything was very easy to navigate, we had no problems at all with all of the different modes of travel. Highly recommend doing this if you ever come to Bergen!

Worked perfectly. Email prior to leaving explained where to go perfectly. My only small improvement would be if the tickets to the bus and trains and ferries could be added to my apple wallet.

Everything went smoothly from start to finish. There were bathrooms on the train, boat and bus. We had plenty of time between changes to shop and get food. The views were spectacular! I highly recommend this tour.

This was the highlight of our Scandinavia vacation. The Flam Railway ride was just as amazing at the fjord boat excursion. The only hiccup was that our friends booked the same package, on the same day, and same time. But the order of the train/boat was reversed from ours and we ended up having to split up.

My wife and I signed up for this tour with another couple for the same day and start time but their tickets went clockwise on the train, cruise and bus whereas our party went counterclockwise so even though there was no problem getting the tickets and using them we were not together during the tour. Also they got back about 2 hr later than us. Other than that I would recommend this tour.

All worked brilliantly! Tickets & instructions arrived soon after booking and the organiser double checked that everything had been received. On the day all worked like clockwork and I enjoyed a beautiful trip with the fjord cruise and the Flam railway. Only comment is that this version comes without reserved train seats, so in the morning you have to be quick to spot an unreserved seat in the train because the majority are booked by tour groups.

Honestly everything was great but we quite didn't understand why we had to pay 310€ each Usually prices are between 200 and 250€. We couldn't cancel after our purchase, and a few days after it was just 220€ soooo yeah quite a bummer we paid nearly a extra 100€ for basically no reason...

The sites I saw were brilliant. Great landscapes. However, the whole trip was just nonstop go go go. We did have time for bathroom breaks and water refills but not much else. If u wanna stop and rest or enjoy a meal at a resto along the way - ur not likely to have time to do that. Of course the boats and trains and busses are relaxing but arrival at diff spots was quick. It's perfect if u want to see a lot of places quickly. The bus in voss was nuts. No order. So many tourists being aggressive shoving their way to get on one of the busses. The boat tour area there was more order and in Flåm one of the train workers told someone to get in to the back ofnthe line who tried to shove their way in to the front - so the bus station in voss was the only spot things got wild and aggressive. For those nervous about the travel transfers from bus to boat, boat to train etc,. it's super easy - everything is pretty well right there when u get off one form of transportation. Also asking any workers to be sure is super simple - they're all friendly and helpful usually. Right side of the train from Flåm to the next stop (not round trip) seemed to have better views but the big waterfall was on the left hand side. Some of the train cars have windows that open - I'd suggest trying to grab one of those if u can as it can get quite hot in there (line up a little early for that train - tho it reduces time in the shops inside) - dress in layers. The boat was hot the train was hot but then once they get moving the temp drops. Rained some parts , hot and sunny in other parts. Deffffff bring snacks and water.

Being in Flam was good, we have been there 3 times now, and it was fun. the Kjossfossen was wild this day due to the waterfall being wildly full, but it is always fun. The woman in a red dress was there dancing on the rock, with music playing. I got soaked with spray, but it was great. The bad news was the boat on the fjord. I have been on better ferries that you could see much more. the design of the ferry on this trip is terrible. I understand that many people need to be on this, but the design of it does not allow for most people to have a good view of anything. For that reason, I would never go on this particular trip again.

A Day Well Spent

We loved the spectacular scenery on the cruise and the comfort of the cruise boat. We were lucky to have fine weather so could spend a considerable time on deck. The Flam Railway was also enjoyable and not crowed. The train accident a few days earlier altered our tour a little but we didn’t feel inconvenienced with the change of transport. The whole day ran on time and although it was a long day, it was most enjoyable.

I am so glad I did this tour, would be one of my favourite travel days ever! The scenery I saw throughout the day was spectacular. Instructions were emailed through and were easy to follow throughout the day. I feel I got to experience a bit of everything from bus to ferry to train. I'm glad i packed some snacks as at some of the lunch stops, I wanted to either take photos or souvenir shop instead. November was a beautiful time of year as I saw scenic snow as well as some sun (even though it was a chilli -4c in some spots). I have recommended this tour to friends already as I truly had a lovely day.

Very interesting and scenic

The fjord tour and Flam railway were very scenic. There were 5 travel legs in total. Most ran smoothly. The only slight issue was with the bus from Voss to Gudanvagen. There was no queuing system so it was a bit of a free for all boarding one of the provided buses. Also the buses detoured for a photo stop along the way which wasn’t advised in the provided itinerary. This meant we arrived later than advised so didn’t have as much time as originally thought at Gudanvagen to get lunch etc.

The trip was amazing, some of the most beautiful sights we've ever seen in our life. Don't worry about the itinerary, it was so easy to follow you'd have to actively try to make a mistake. Many times there was just 1 train/bus in the station and that was the one you would have to take. Though its a long day, you see beautiful sights almost the entire time even the bus ride was insanely scenic, it makes the time just fly by. The fjords were incredible- 2 hours of having your breath taken away by every angle. We went during a busy time, but the crowds didn't bother us at all. If you've traveled before, you won't be bothered by that. When I wanted to get a good photo most people just moved out of the way until I got my photo. The train rides after the fjords was an experience in and of itself, the most scenic train ride and a few surprises/photo moments along the way. I'm so glad we did this longer day tour instead of only doing the cruise. The train was 100% worth it and one of our favorite parts of the trip. My only recommendation is eat when food is available-- they sell food on the boat, at the train stations, and on the trains themselves (except for the vintage train I think). You won't have time to sit down, so if you get hungry just settle for the grab and go food (places to buy food were readily available we found the most convenient place to relax and eat was on the boat itself after we got our photos).

Spectacular views , good fjord ferry cruise, but too many people plus we were not sent all our tickets! I went back and double checked my emails and only received half . I assumed they had a special bus for us, wrong!!!! Still good, but way over priced.

When you informed us the you faced difficulties downloading the tickets, we sent you them again to your email and WhatsApp. Summer is a very high season in Norway. Unfortunately sometimes tourists have to deal with crowds during the high season.

This is a great tour! You see the fjords by train, bus and boat. We had our kids (22m, 18m and 16f) and they loved it - and so did we). Viator makes all the transitions easy and clear, so it is very manageable. Highly recommend and with the cost.

Beautiful trip definitely worth taking, booking had a few issues

First, the trip was beautiful and absolutely worth seeing. Easy to find the train at the Bergan railway station and the trip to Voss was nice. The bus ride from Voss to the cruise was spectacular, as was the Fjord cruise it self. We had a misting rain on the cruise that made pictures challenging, but it was Norway and it did not distract from the beauty. A couple of negatives from the tour arranger and thus the lower rating. First when I booked the tour it said we would get out tickets sent a few days prior to our tour date. Two days before I emailed asking why we had not received our tickets. The following day they finally sent them. Being about 12 hours from our train that did not make us overly happy. Next when we got to Voss we were going to look for a quick breakfast as mentioned in the itinerary. We were end of October so maybe it was timing, but there was nothing in the train station and walking along the main street none of the restaurants had opened yet. The only thing we found open was the gas station mini mart across the street. Finally, the last part scenic part of the trip was the Flamm railroad, but when we got our itinerary we saw we had 2 hours in Flamm before out train rather than the 45 minutes we had been told to expect. At first this sounded good until we realized the 45 minute train ride we were booked on was to depart about 5 minutes after sunset. We were NOT happy and this caused a bit of angst all day during our trip. Luckily the Flamm people were super nice and quickly got us on the earlier train (leaving about 5 minutes after we got our tickets switched). We did not get a chance to see Flamm, but the railroad was definitely better in the daylight! Overall a very nice day, beautiful views, and the navigation through the train to bus to boat to train to train was actually quite easy to follow. We very much enjoyed the day and would recommend the trip to anyone looking for a look at a large amount of territory in a short time.

Great way to see the sights!

I was hesitant to do a self guided tour, but this was really very easy to follow. The scenery from the bus and the train was beautiful. But, the cruise was outstanding. Everywhere you would look it just got better and better. This is a great way to see the countryside and fjord.
