The process of creating your own satchel at The Islander was fun & the hardest part was figuring out which tartan & bag color combination to pick. Gabby & Zoe from the shop guided us through the process & they were wonderful! I’m so pleased with my bag, and you can even purchase an alternative cover which will allow me to use my bag in different seasons. There were lots of smaller items available at the store as well, so I was able to round out my gift shopping.

Excursion to the Scottish Highlands in Spanish

It is a very complete excursion. Along the way, we made several stops at different sites to enjoy the Scottish landscape. During the bus ride, Cristo, our guide, explained everything about the history and curiosities of those lands to us, and thanks to him, the hours on the bus were much more pleasant. We were lucky to be a small group, which made the excursion much more intimate. Without a doubt, it is worth dedicating a day of your visit to Edinburgh to take this excursion!

Superb experience in the vaults & cemetery.

We booked the tour of the cemetery and the Vaults for 10/31/2026 (8pm). We were lucky to have Nick as a guide. He made the experience incredible. We particularly enjoyed his stories and anecdotes about the city of Edinburgh and more specifically about Greyfriars Kirkyard and the Vaults (exclusive to the Auld Reekie Tour). With Auld Reekie Tour, we found exactly what we were looking for: to learn more about the dark past of the cemetery and the vaults, without it being theatrical or satirical. Nick knew how to captivate our attention and immerse us in the world as we imagined it. We took 2 other guided tours during our stay, and Auld Reekie Tour is the best! Thanks again to Nick for guiding us. We 100% recommend the experience!

I travelled with friends in 27th October. The highlands of Scotland are amazing! It was windy and raining on and off however this didn’t make the experience any less enjoyable. Our tour guide Jason was brilliant and provided lots of information and stories throughout the tour. I would absolutely do this tour again, and others that The Hairy Coo provide too, especially if Jason was the tour guide again. Thank you for a memorable experience!

Alister was an amazing tour guide. Very fun and had some funny stories and bits of information. Would highly recommend Little Fish tour company for this tour. The castle was incredible, so much to see and do. Could easily spend the whole day there. Definitely be there for the 1pm “firing”, that was really cool.

Excellent driver/tour guide Paul. He is such a professional : able to introduce places while driving. We encountered an incident which was stuck in traffic for almost 4 hours.
