What are people saying about Milan

Great food, great host!
It’s difficult to decide which was better—the food or the conversation with Rafa. We made fresh tagliatelle with white sauce (Alfredo) and red sauce (pomodoro) both of which were fantastic. Spending a few hours chatting about food life and other things made it a truly memorable evening, capped off with “our” home made tiramisu.

Very fun activity. Our instructor was friendly and gave clear instructions for making the pasta and tirimasu. Great space at the rear of the restaurant for making the items. Restaurant offered four choices of sauces to go with our pasta. After we had finished the prep we were all seated outside to enjoy our dinner together. Location is right in the Navigli area of Milan along the canal, so great place to explore either before or after the cooking class. Would definitely recommend doing the cooking class.

Pasta, tiramisu & lots of fun
I absolutely loved this cooking class in Milan. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed and comfortable. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. There was plenty of laughter and it was a great way to spend the afternoon experiencing a little bit of authentic Italian food and culture.

Great Tour
Irene was a fantastic tour guide who brought us to several great spots along the way. We started at a balsamic vinegar tasting which I was not expecting but wanted to do while in Italy. I got some great balsamic to take home which will be used sparingly over the next years. We tasted several local dishes from sandwiches to pizzas to pastry to gelato which left us stuffed but happy. Because it was so hard to book a taxi in advance, she even helped us with that and saved us a ton of money over the outrageous prices Uber wanted for a quick ride to the train station.

For a tasty alternative to a meal out in Milan, Milan cooking classes or aperitivo experiences can liven up an evening and give you culinary skills to take home. You can focus on traditional Milanese cuisine, learning to create ossobuco with a vibrant yellow risotto, or stick to dishes that represent classic Italy, making pizza, pasta, gelato, and tiramisu from scratch. Classes tend to be for private or small groups and have a friendly informal feel with professional chefs and Milanese locals revealing their tips.
