Fantastic nature adventure

Our tour guide , Gabby, was absolutely fantastic. We were so glad we did a tour instead of walking ourselves. We would have missed almost everything that we saw and she gave us so many interesting facts and got us great close up pics. It was a beautiful walk...

It was a beautiful walk and the bridges were fun. We went during rainy season and without a guide so we only saw one monkey, one frog, and some beautiful butterflies. Without a guide I wouldn't expect to see much, especially if you move quickly. We took our time and took everything in. Lots of rain so I am assuming the animals were seeking cover. I still think the views are worth it and you can take your time and enjoy it all.

A Wonderful Tour!

Our guide, Miller, was incredibly knowledgeable about not only the sloths and monkeys - which we saw plenty of! - but also the flora and fauna of the farm. Our walk along the wooded trail was paced well and very peaceful. We were shown frogs, plants, trees, insects, and of course the sloths and howler monkeys! There were great views of Arenal! What an enchanting property to visit! I'm grateful for the owners for running such a lovely tour and for allowing us to spend time in this beautiful space - thank you! Miller and his co-host, Derrick, were both fantastic, and the nice young woman who checked us into our tour was so kind and let us try sugar cane! Thank you all for everything! Really fun and informative

I wasn’t sure what I was getting into . We were picked up from our hotel and taken to this location I had seen from the road . I really thought this was a tourist trap . It was not - 35 acres of woods and saw about 7 Sloths . Really a great experience for kids . The coffee was really good and the cocoa and sugar can was really informative

The whole day was great!...

The whole day was great! We saw a few animals on the nature walk. Renee made sure we saw them through his telescope and helped us take great pictures and videos. Manuel was very knowledgeable and was happy to add more details to any conversation when asked. Cha Cha was a timely driver who made the tour rides seamless. Hiking, waterfall swimming and a soak in the hot springs—Red Lava Tours made it memorable! Definitely recommend this tour.

A great way to experience some of the La Fortuna “must sees.”

A long day but totally worth it. Our guide for the day was Albert. He was great, and explained everything in English and Spanish as we went along. It was a very rainy day and the volume of the waterfall was too intense for swimming, but the hike down (and back up) was beautiful. We opted to hang out in the café to dry off a bit because it was pouring rain, before we continued on to the Arenal volcano hike. Even in the rain, it’s worth doing the hike to the base of the volcano, but I imagine it’s spectacular if you are lucky enough to do it on a clear day. Albert provided facts on the volcano and was constantly on the lookout for wildlife that he pointed out as we trekked. For us though, the highlight of the day was the Mistico hanging bridges. Besides the spectacular scenery and the bridges themselves, there was plenty of wildlife to see including howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys, and even an eyelash viper. Beautiful place, and very easy to hike on the paved trails. We decided to skip the final stop at the hot springs because we had a day pass to one of the hot springs resorts the next day, and instead, had them drop us off at our hotel - Lost Iguana - which was very close to the Mistico Hanging Bridges. They were very flexible and agreeable about doing. Overall, a great day, and we slept like babies.

The Absolute Best

Book it. I have been a tour guide in multiple tourist destinations and done my share of travel tours. This was easily my favorite tour of my life. Jose, Kendall, Jonathan, Caesar and Ronan are pro’s, super safe and professional fun. (Don’t listen to the few whiners here. Although I will say, to do this you must be in, like, not bad shape. You need to be active.) but they’re good at what they do and make it accessible. The jungle experience is truly magic. Unbelievable. You won’t believe your eyes.

So much fun!

What a great adventure for our family! As first time zipliners, we felt super safe with the practice course and professional staff! We literally flew through the rainforest and got glimpses of sloths, toucans, and so much more! A special shoutout to Alberto for his care and understanding of working with our child with Down syndrome! He worked so well with him and helped provide an unforgettable experience for our whole family! The rest of the staff was outstanding, too! Informative, engaging, and so much fun to be around! Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica! Pura vida!

Fun experience on ATVs!

The guides were great - very patient with all of us and especially helpful when I fell (twice! - both my fault) and needed to finish the ride on the back of our leader’s ATV. Beautiful and Unique Views!

I really enjoyed this experience, I would say if you are an experienced rider seeking thrills this may slightly let you down. It’s more geared towards all experience levels but the journey and views are incredible. You definitely get your money’s worth in the length of the journey and amount of sites.
