I had an excellent time with Viator. This tour company certainly delivered the goods and I recommend the 2am start tour to miss the mad rush. August is the off-season time and the best time to visit the Taj Mahal. I would like to make a special mention about my guide who joined me in Agra. Kashif was very informative and knowledgeable about the tour. His skill and delivery made my tour very memorable and it gives more appreciation of the Indian culture and its long history. A massive thank you to Faizan and Hasan for an incredible and well organised day trip around Agra. Faizan was my tour guide and did an exceptional job with detailed explanations of all the sites we saw. He was friendly, engaging, informative, and very attentive throughout the tour. He also helped me with lots of great photos. Hasan the driver was excellent - he made sure our private car with great AC was ready to go for every stop and came equipped with cold bottles of water given the heat. He was a very safe driver and extremely polite. With Faizan and Hasan, I had the best experience as a solo female traveller and felt safe the entire time. More broadly, the pick up from my hotel by Aiyub to take me to the train station and escorting me to my seat was all very smooth. If you’re looking for a premium well rated tour to get from Delhi to the Taj Mahal in a seamless way I would highly recommend this tour. There is a reason the reviews are so good!

It was our first time visiting the Taj Mahal. Sunil arrived 10 minutes ahead of our 2 a.m. departure & we left right on time. Smooth drive to Agra and Sunil offered to stop for chai/restroom breaks. We met our guide (Asim) in Agra. Asim was very nice and told us a lot about the Taj and Agra Fort. Asim also doubled as a photographer for us and had great suggestions. We are walking away with amazing family pictures from this trip. We then went off script - Sunil and Asim told us about kachoris & galebis at one spot and then chai at another place. Spectacular way to wrap up our time in Agra. From our 10 year old: They were very kind in general and had very good information to help me understand. They took very good pictures as well!

Our driver Subhash was on time and always had bottled water waiting for us between each stop and our guide Manoj was very informative and had all the best picture taking spots! We needed to cut our trip short due to prior commitments upon our return to Delhi and this was well accommodated by the team.

Fantastic Taj Mahal Golden Triangle but No Tiger

Great tour…four different locations and three different hotels. We booked the private tour with the five-star hotel option for the two of us. Everything was wonderful but quite intense. Daily India itself is intense, and a speed tour of the Golden Triangle with a Tiger Safari makes travel super intense and colorful. The local roads are full of people, cars, Toktok, trucks, and animals… we saw oxen, sheep, camels, and elephants on the road. The modern highway linking each location looks brand new with very little traffic (yet). The driver and tour guides were the best. Special commendation for our driver Sayam, and our Agra Taj Mahal tour guide Rusheed Qureshi who took wonderful pictures of us at the Taj Mahal and Fort Agra. We took this tour in May, which was hot, hot, hot. So, if you have a choice, pick cooler months to visit the Golden Triangle, and it will be even more enjoyable. Hotel stays, entrance tickets, breakfasts, and dinner at the Tiger Resort were all included in the tour. Day 1 Delhi sights, drive to Agra: Our driver Sayam met us with a nice white sedan at our Delhi hotel. He would be our driver for the entire trip, and we would pick up a different tour guide every day in each location. We toured Delhi from late morning until lunch around 2:30. We ate lunch at this delicious Indian Chinese restaurant. After lunch, we drove 3-4 hours to Agra and stayed at the Jaypee Palace, a beautiful resort hotel where past US presidents Bush and Obama stayed. Day 2 Agra Taj Mahal, drive to Ranthambore National Park area hotel: We woke up at 4 a.m. So we could tour the Taj Mahal at sunrise and only 90°F, not 120°F later in the day! Absolute jaw-dropping experience. We are so grateful we could see that in our lifetime. Our tour guide Rusheed Qureshi was amazing; he knew the exact location, angle, lighting of how to take the perfect pictures for the Taj Mahal. We finished our tour around 8:30 a.m. and returned to the hotel for breakfast and a nap, before checking out. Our driver Sayam picked us up again with Rusheed and we toured Fort Agra, which is another fascinating historic sight, then the baby Taj. We got dropped off at another tasty restaurant early afternoon. Afterwards, we drove about 6 hours to the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve area and checked in our room at the AamaGhanti Wildlife Resort. This is a beautiful resort with each room named after a tiger in the Reserve. There was a little bit of an electric problem and we asked to change room and maybe upgrade to a bigger room… and for $50US, we got another room 10X the size! Dinner was included that evening at the resort. Day 3 Tiger Safari, drive to Jaipur: We met at 6 a.m. and got picked up in an 8-person jeep, for a driver, a guide, and 6 tourists. We toured in Zones 7, 8, and 9 and learned all about local tigers and saw lots of mammals like deer, antelopes, monkeys, and birds, but no tigers. Since it was a safari, you never know when you would see which animal. They said the tour group the day before saw a tiger! The land/jungle (dry) was vast, and the openness of the terrain was beautiful. Afterwards, we returned to the resort and had breakfast and a nap before checking out. We drove 3 hours to Jaipur around noon. We were dropped off at the Jaipur Intercontinental Hotel midafternoon, and we were on our own. We ate a late lunch at the hotel. It was 115°F outside, and we were glad we had time to relax for the rest of the day. Day 4 Tour of Jaipur, drive to Delhi Airport: Sayam met us at 7:30 a.m. after we had breakfast and checked out of the Intercontinental. Off we go with another tour guide to see the amazing sights in Jaipur. We had lunch early in the afternoon, and the tour could drop us off anywhere between Jaipur and Delhi. We asked to be dropped off at the Delhi airport around 6 p.m. It was about a 4-hour drive from Jaipur to the Delhi International Airport.
