Diamond Star service
Amazing trip. Nandu Kishor Kumar was an amazing tour guide. The best I would say. Very funny too. We enjoted his humor and company immensely. Vinay was a wonderful driver. We were very lucky to have him drive us there and back. The managers Junaid and Bilal were also very wonderful and made sure we had a diamond star experience. Certainly a 5 star trip. And a Diamond star experience. The lunch buffet at 5 star Marriot was also great and delicious. This deal was truly worth the money and one of the best tours of India we had with our family (husband, wife, and 2 kids 10 and 13 yo). Few things to be careful about: 1. You can negotiate a lot with the local vendors within Taj Mahal for photos. We got 12 prints and 56 soft copies for Rs. 3K. 2. At Marriot buffet, they will offer you indian bread (naan) which is free. They also offered us pizza for kids which they did not tell us was at a cost. A small size pizza cost us Rs 945. Thankfully I had the Mony UPI to pay for it. This is NOT the fault of the tour company but rather of Marriot for not telling us that Pizza will be extra. 3. Very strong sales pressure when you visit marble carving workshop to buy their marble carvings or the Zardozi shop to buy their goos. While we negotated the prices to 50% of sticker price, we still end up spending a lot due to sales pressure at these two locations. Make sure you hold on to the piece you buy and make them pack it in front of you to avoid the switachroo scam from some of the stores. 4. Lots of sales pressure outside Taj Mahal to buy from hawkers. We got a globe water Taj Mahal showpiece for Rs. 150 though he had started with Rs. 1,200. Then the local hawker gave us a sealed piece that was broken inside. Be careful of the switcharoo scam. Openthe sealed piece to make sure it is correct before paying.

A beautiful day, beautifully organised.
As Indian roads tend to be busy and my time was tight, I opted for this direct train tour offer to visit the Taj Mahal and Red Fort. As a solo traveler, I was anxious at the idea of negotiating busy railway stations. But with this tour I need not have worried. I was collected from my hotel by an excellent local driver who took me to the station whereby I was greeted by a company representative who handed me my tickets and literally placed me in my allocated seat. Breakfast was served and on reaching the one stop to Agra, again I had a guide meet and greet me as I stepped off the train. That Guide is Shaan who accompanied me for the rest of the day and by day’s end placed me back into my seat for the return journey to Delhi. I travel extensively and have been on many tours. Shann stands out as an exceptional guide. He has an affable personality, a positive outlook and loves telling visitors about his culture and history. He made it clear from the outset that this was MY day, my discovery and tailor-made the day around me and not a rigid schedule or itinerary. I requested not to doing any shopping etc but to concentrate on the history and the architecture world heritage buildings that lay before us. He explained as little or as much as I requested. The day was amazing, funny and balanced. Lunch was delicious and dropping into a local cafe for an afternoon coffee was just what the doctor ordered. My comfort and safety was Shann’s priority. The tour includes more the the Taj Mahal and Red Fort and we were ably driven from point-to-point by the excellent driver Shoaib. On my return to Delhi, again, I was greeted by my driver as I left the train and delivered to my hotel. India is a fascinating place but train stations are bustling. Even I would not want to negotiate such a transport hub. Take my advice, don’t travel to this fabled area by car, the 2 hour train journey is much more relaxing and this company made it a seamless, smooth, safe and stress-free day. Thanks to everyone.

There are plenty of reasons why India is among the world’s most iconic destinations, from the Taj Mahal in Agra to the popular markets of Delhi and lush mountains of Kashmir. Expand your understanding of all this beautiful country has to offer by booking one of these India tours. There are multi-day excursions to the Golden Triangle as well as tours that stick to one city—drive around Bollywood filming locations in Mumbai or book a food tour in Delhi, where you’ll sample your way through one of the oldest spice markets.
