I booked a Mt. Fuji tour while staying in Tokyo through Viator, which partnered with Nippon Live — and the entire experience exceeded expectations from beginning to end. When rain entered the forecast and I needed to make changes, Viator customer support was fantastic. The communication from Nippon Live was equally impressive. Their focus on customer satisfaction, organization, and smooth logistics was flawless throughout the entire process. Before the tour even began, I was introduced to our driver and guide, David, through text. Communication was clear, professional, and thoughtful from the start — pickup time, location, confirmations, and always ending with, “If there’s anything further, please don’t hesitate to ask.” The morning of the tour, David actually came into our hotel personally to greet us and escort us to the vehicle. That level of service immediately set the tone for the day. As we started, David asked about our travel preferences — crowds, food interests, pacing, photography, and overall experience. He was quietly curating the perfect day for us. He suggested leaving early to beat the traffic and larger tour groups, saying, “Let’s get an early start.” David was absolutely right. We arrived at many locations ahead of the crowds, often having beautiful viewpoints almost entirely to ourselves. No long lines. No chaos. Just a calm, smooth, and enjoyable experience. We covered many destinations throughout the day, yet never once felt rushed. David was refined, knowledgeable, personable, and attentive. He answered every question thoughtfully while making sure we always felt safe, comfortable, and relaxed. The vehicle itself was immaculate — clean, modern, and luxurious. From booking, to customer support, to the actual tour experience, everything flowed calmly and efficiently. I truly hope to return to Japan for parts 2, 3, and 4 of my travels exploring this incredible country — and I would gladly book again with Nippon Live and Viator, whether with David or another guide from their team. I highly recommend this company. The experience delivered genuine value and felt like a true luxury tour from beginning to end. Great Mt Fuji 🗻 tour! Viator’s chat support was amazing and answered all my questions right away. Pickup was easy, the bus ride was comfortable, and we got to visit so many beautiful spots with spectacular views of majestic Fuji San, especially with today’s bright sunny weather. Great Mt. Fuji day trip on the best Mt Fuji visibility day with the best guide, Shabeer! Very well organized with multiple scenic stops and amazing views. We especially loved seeing the pagoda early in the morning without crowds and the peaceful cow pastures in the afternoon. Shabeer was courteous, spoke excellent English, planned a great route with lots of input from us as what we wanted to see. As an added bonus, he knew many “instagrammable” spots and took lots of family photos for us. Highly recommended!
