This was a 5star luxury experience from start to finish. From our hotel pickup, train escorts, and Farid our guide were all exceptional knowledgeable, together with our driver Mubeen were a great team. The best was being greeted with beautiful garland roses upon arrival given a comfortable air conditioned SUV with cold drinks. Definitely recommend this tour.

Itinerary

Your private Agra tour begins with a handy pickup from your Delhi hotel or the airport or railway station. Board an express train to Agra and watch the countryside whizz past from your comfortable chair-class seat. The journey takes around 2.5 hours and saves you the hassle of sitting in road traffic, which can be painfully slow.

On arrival in Agra, head to the beautiful Taj Mahal in an air-conditioned car. Admire the famous monument to love, learn more about its history from your guide, and have a professional photo taken on a VIP bench with the Taj in the background.

Refuel with a tasty Indian buffet lunch at one of Agra’s finest restaurants. There will also be time to explore Agra’s other historic attractions, including the Agra Fort and the Tomb of I'tmad-ud-Daula, before boarding the train for the return journey to Delhi.

I did the Delhi to Agra and Taj Mahal Private Day Trip by Express train with lunch. The tour was excellent and it took me to some beautiful places around Agra. My tour guide Farid was very friendly and informative! He told me about Taj Mahals and Agras hitory in an interesting way and had answers to all of my questions. Also the transportations to and from the train both in Delhi and Agra were smooth and safe and the train was an comfortable and convenient way to get to Agra from Delhi. I would highly recommend the trip, it is also a good and safe option for solo travellers.

Superb daytrip to Agra from Delhi

Our day started with convenient hotel pickup and transfer to the train. Smooth 2 hour train ride and we were greeted by our guide who recognised us by the photos taken when boarding the train. First stop was Taj Mahal and entrance was quite fast considering end of Ramadan and weekend. The introduction our guide gave us prepared entry to Taj Mahal extremely well, clarifications and spottings of architecture and details supported the trip very well. On top, our guide was also amazing photographer! Visit to marble handicraft shop was engaging and educational, we learned about the craftsman trade and secrets of Makrana marble. Lunch at Sun Barbecue with super tasty appetizers, followed by main course and desert gave new energy until the end of the day. Last stop at Agra Fort with engaging snips into past and realistic stories, closed the sightseeing day perfectly. Stories we heard about Taj Mahal, India history, Fort and Agra gave good overview and tied the day lovely together. Small show and tell during the day gave us firsthand experience to engage into architectural miracles in Agra. We felt very safe and well taken care of by our very professional and friendly guide. He showed mastery in engaging us during the whole day and giving insightful stories of the past. We recommend the tour and the guide with confidence and trust you will have amazing day in Agra.

Whenever booking this last minute I did a lot of research on which agent to use and saw a lot of solo travellers reccomending this team. The team accomodated my needs with a super early flight, both drivers were super nice and helpful, I was received in Agra with a flower guirland and Mr Farid was kind, helpful and an amazing guide! This was a great visit. Super well organised. Picked up at the hotel and shown to out seats. Met at the platform and taken by a/c car to the sights. Malik was super guide giving us great history and explanation. He's also a great photographer (using our phones). Lunch was really good and plentyful. You jusy pay for any sodas you have. Value for money!

The trip was very well organized, and we're happy we chose it. The driver picked us up at the hotel promptly, guided us to the train station, and ensured we boarded the right express train! The train journey was pleasant and comfortable, with an adequate breakfast served. Took around 1.5 hours to get to Agra. We were met by our next driver who took us to the Taj Mahal, where we met our real guide, who happened to be a university History Professor! Awesome! Was so much fun. He later took us to the town to visit with some of the artisans who descended from the original Persian carpet-makers and marble stone workers. Was a sight to behold! You are able to make some purchases if you wish. Then we went for lunch which was very tasty and filling! We didn't have enough time to go further into the city center/Agra Fort, but didn't mind as we had thoroughly enjoyed the trip. We caught our train home in good time, ready for a shower and bed!! Thank you to all the guides and drivers!!! We went on 6th February - weather was balmy 60-70' - but pack a light jacket for the early morning and late evening, and comfortable shoes. The air was better than Delhi, and no mosquitoes, and we were blessed with a clear day (no fog). Highly recommended trip!

Flew into Delhi during a business trip and had the goal to see the Taj Mahal! I was picked up right on time, brought right to my seat on the train, and was greeted at the Agra train station with flowers. A fantastic tour with a ton of information at a wonderful pace. Easy for solo travelers but also families. Farid was my tour guide and was amazing, helping me also frame photos to keep as a fond memory. Highly recommend!

Best guide ever “Farid” , he is so knowledgeable, friendly, personable, I felt like I’d known him for a long time. He took me all around to see all the sights, even asked what else I’d like to see or do, shopping, coffee.
