Meet your guide in central Lisbon and hop into an air-conditioned minivan for your small-group guided day trip to Fátima, Nazaré and Óbidos. Begin with a journey north to the once quaint village of Fátima now a prominent Christian sanctuary. Arrive and learn about the three shepherd children who claimed to see Our Lady of Fátima dressed in white in 1917. Stroll with your guide to the famous Sanctuary of Fatima, a basilica which draws millions of religious people annually who homage to the shrine.
From here, travel to the 14th-century Batalha Monastery renowned for its compelling examples of of ornate gothic architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the monastery, follow your guide into the royal tomb and see the Founder’s Chapel. Hear about the noble family that rests here including Queen Philippa of Lancaster, King João I and their heir Prince Henry the Navigator.
Continue to the quiet fishing village of Nazaré, a favorite summer vacation spot for the Portuguese. Here, take a break for lunch at a local cafe or restaurant (own expense). Learn about the locals who fish here before heading onward to the Nazaré cliffs. Reach the gorgeous small towns of São Martinho do Porto and Foz do Arelho and whip out your camera for quaint farm-country shots.
Next, cruise along the impressive cliff-laden coast as you journey to Óbidos, a medieval village established in 208 BC. Enter past its fortified walls and discover slender streets, gothic facades, and vibrant houses. Alongside your guide, learn about King Dinis who gifted Óbidos to his new wife Queen Isabel in 1282 which led locals to refer to Óbidos as ‘wedding present town.’ As you walk notice the window sills decorated with flower pots and colorful tiles. Then, stop at a local wine shop for a taste of Ginja liqueur, a cherry flavored spirit and perhaps savor a snack. Finally, enjoy perusing through an artisan’s shop with a wide variety of handmade ceramics before returning to Lisbon where your tour concludes.

This excursion was excellent and highly recommended. We had the best tour guide, Alberto. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the tour. As Catholics, Fatima was very special and not to be missed. Nazare was a beautiful beach town! Alberto recommended a seafood restaurant with delicious Shrimp Pasta. I loved Obidos, an old medieval town with cobblestone streets and shops. Overall, this tour delivered on three different experiences, each not to be missed.

Wonderful experience. We got to see other parts of Portugal and see the landscape along the way. Long day but Fatima was amazing. Johnny was a great tour guide.
It was great to see all those places in once. Unfortunately that also made it impossible to spend enough time on each. Besides the fact that our driver/guide Orlando was great, it gave me the feeling to be rushed all along the way. The lunch in Nazaré was just ok, service very slow as we went to the place recommended because we didn’t even had time to explore our options. The van was very nice and clean and Orlando was a great driver. I don’t wanna give less than 5 stars as he gave his best for the tour.
Flawless trip with a great tour guide who was helpful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed it all. We loved it.
Our guide Gonçalo was so personable, interested in knowing of our life experiences and especially of our experiences visiting Portugal. He had informative answers for all of our questions, and was a delight to spend the day with.
Tour was very good. Lots of stops but did not feel rushed, We were switched to a larger group with English and Spanish due to a lack of guides. There was a lot of communication about the change and a chance to cancel.
Great trip. Fátima was the highlight but Nazare was so beautiful. Our guide Hugo was great. He was extremely informative and very friendly
Outstanding narration. Very sincere guide. Loved the tour. The minivan was convenient and our guide explained every question with a lot of patience.
Our guide Yaan brought Nazaré and Óbidos to life! From navigating the cobblestone alleys and medieval walls of Óbidos (complete with a Ginjinha toast in a chocolate cup) to standing atop the Sítio cliffs in Nazaré taking in the huge ocean views, every detail was handled seamlessly. They struck the perfect balance of fascinating local history, authentic culture, and great vantage points without ever feeling rushed. Energetic, deeply knowledgeable, and wonderfully welcoming—couldn't have asked for a better day trip!
The trip started out horrible. We were told to be at meeting point at 8:15 am. We were there by 7:45. Waiting. All tours came and left by 8:15, except two couples us and another. I asked and was told our guide got sick so the tour was cancelled. We got a message??? Our txt literally came at 8:15! Had we not complained, they'd have left us there... however, they scrambled and got us on another's tour. The tour was great, the customer service for the tour company was awful.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are very sorry that your morning started this way, but we would like to clarify what happened.
At approximately 6:30 AM, our guide contacted us to let us know that he had woken up feeling unwell and was unable to operate the tour. As soon as we were informed, we immediately tried to find a replacement, including contacting a guide who was scheduled to have the day off. Unfortunately, despite our efforts, we were unable to secure a substitute in time.
At 7:50 AM, we sent messages both through the Viator platform and via WhatsApp. These timestamps can be verified directly in the Viator app and in the WhatsApp conversation history. In these messages, we offered several alternatives: rescheduling the tour, requesting a full refund, or speaking directly with a member of our staff who would be present at the Hard Rock Café meeting point.
As none of these options were suitable, we contacted one of our trusted partners, who fortunately had availability and was able to welcome you on their tour that same day. In addition, as a gesture of goodwill, we also offered a partial refund.
We fully understand that receiving unexpected news on the morning of a tour is frustrating, and we sincerely regret the inconvenience caused by the guide's sudden illness. However, we would like to assure future travelers that we did everything possible to provide a solution at very short notice, and we are pleased that you were still able to enjoy a successful day trip.

It was fast paced. Our tour had 2 languages. I wish they informed us in advance. It did slow the process a bit. We would like to get more info about country sides and more facts also about current Portugal. Guide was kind and patient with one pair of travelers who were almost always 5 min late which shortened our time at final site. I would do it again

Gorgeous scenery and countryside. Nazare and Obidos were quaint towns with wonderful food and shopping’s highly recommended.

We loved this experience and tour with our tour guide Antonio! He was so knowledgeable about Portugal and its history, taking the time to answer our questions and give us the background of each place we visited. He was lovely!!! We finished with a Gingjinha tasting and a birthday surprise for Mom! Fátima is a must see if you are Catholic.

Wonderful tour exactly as advertised. Our guide, Alberto, was very courteous and provided a lot of information about the sights and other general information about Portugal.
I had an amazing time on this tour. We had a number of stops and other places that were pointed out along the way. There was a good balance of time to explore and time travelling where the guide shared information about the local area and history. I definitely recommend this tour if you are in Lisbon for a short time to see outside the city!

Great trip in every way. These 3 cities are a must see when in Portugal. Three completely different vibes, still always Portugal. Get your spiritual on in Fátima, your beach vibes in Nazare, with great seafood options among other choices for lunch and then head off to the Castle for some medieval vibes❤️ And the bonus spot was 🤪🥰🕺🏼🥳
We had an absolutely wonderful experience on this tour! It was a full day from Lisbon to Fátima and Nazaré, and every moment was worth it. The tour was very well organized, and we got to see so many beautiful and meaningful places without having to worry about transportation or planning everything ourselves.
Our guide, Orlando, was absolutely amazing! He was incredibly patient, kind, knowledgeable, and attentive to everyone in our group. He made sure we never felt rushed and took the time to answer our questions and make the experience enjoyable for all of us. His wonderful personality truly made the day even more special.
For other travellers, we would say this is a long day, but definitely one worth doing! You get to experience so much of Portugal in one tour, and having someone like Orlando guiding you makes all the difference.
