Great tour! Great Guide

If you have done many Viator tours, you will learn the importance of having a good guide. AND of recognizing them. Nova was our guide. She was upbeat, a great communicator and (for us, very important) phenomenal English skills. Now to the tour, the suspension bridge was a lot of fun. Be warned, the trek up the hill to get to the bridge is arduous. The view from the bridge made it worthwhile. The North Korean Defector presentation was genuine but fairly abbreviated. We had some good questions from our group that helped flesh out “Ken” Eom’s story. You can buy his book there - it is also available on Amazon. The trip into the DMZ was an eye-opening trip into an area of the world that most people will never visit. Because of on-going security concerns, there were MANY areas that we could not take pictures of. Hefty fines and questions from Military Police could occur if you did take a photo in a wrong location. One item, the hike up the hill to the observatory in the DMZ is a difficult endeavor. We also went to the “Third Tunnel” and the trip into and especially the trip OUT will be physically stressful. Good tour. Great Guide (Nova).

The key to any successful guided tour is having the right guide and Tiger was the best tour guide we have ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable, highly experienced, and professional. He is serious about his tour but has a good sense of humor. He made our DMZ tour experience wonderful. He shared his personal story in the military and gave us a detailed history and education and made it fun. We can’t say enough about Tiger. If we could give him ten stars, we would!

Exceptional tour in Korea

Patrick was excellent on this tour. Great at keeping a large group of 44 together - ensuring we visited every sight on time and allowing enough time to take in all the sights. Really enjoyed getting out of the city and seeing the beautiful countryside and mountains. Patrick was funny and made this really memorable, it’s a hard job but he made it look effortless. We had a lot of time away from the group as well so you can explore on your own. It was just perfect. I’d recommend this tour to anyone.

I had a wonderful time...

I had a wonderful time during the tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The half day was perfect and allowed for time spent elsewhere before connecting at 1:30. The drop off point is Gwangjang Market and it's just that a drop off. Ok with it, just mentioning it, so there's no expectation of a guided tour around the market.

Great Tour with Hee Soo
