This was fantastic. Mari was a phenomenal guide. She has a personal family connection to the atomic bombing and she’s lived in Hiroshima all her life. She was knowledgable; funny, and respectful of my goals (sites, time spent, photo taking). And lunch was great afterwards!

Hiroshima Peace Tour

Our guide’s name was Sam. He spoke about impeccable English. Our tour was filled with anecdotes and introductions to each major component of the memorial. My wife was recovering from knee surgery and our guides kindly paced the experience to her rate of speed. At the end of the tour, we asked for a recommendation to an Okonomiyaki restaurant and Sam gave us a wonderful place to go. All-in-all, a great tour with wonderful hosts.

The tour guide provided a well paced and thoughtful presentation of the castle, shogun history, and WW2 events leading to the A Bomb event. The walk was the castle to the victims memorial was an easy trek with multiple stops for the guide to explain the significance of the location.

Although it was a rainy...

Although it was a rainy Saturday day, Rino did a very good job of leading us through the Atomic Bomb Memorial site and then on to Miyajiba island for a great lunch. Unfortunately my group had to leave the tour early as our ship was leaving before the tour would end. Rino helped us with timing to get the right ferry and then showed us where to get a cab back to our ship.

We had a wonderful time. Our tour guide Sei was prompt, knowledgeable and made 8 hours very pleasant and memorable. An Unforgettable Hiroshima Experience with Masa

We can't recommend Masa enough! She was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. From the moment we met her, she was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. She shared Hiroshima's history in such a thoughtful and engaging way, and her personal stories and local recommendations made the tour feel so much more meaningful than just visiting the sights. Traveling with three kids can be challenging, but Masa was unbelievably patient with them. The moment that touched us the most was at the Peace Memorial Museum. Knowing some of the exhibits would be difficult for our youngest daughter, Masa stayed behind with her, making origami and keeping her entertained while we toured the museum. That level of thoughtfulness and care meant the world to us and is something we'll never forget. To top it off, our train was unexpectedly delayed getting to Hiroshima. Instead of making us feel rushed or stressed, Masa was flexible, adjusted the schedule, and made sure we still had an amazing experience. If you're visiting Hiroshima, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Masa. She is an exceptional guide and an even more wonderful person. Thanks to her, what could have been just another tour became one of the most memorable experiences of our entire trip. It's a day our family will remember forever.

Kazuko was an amazing...

Kazuko was an amazing guide with a deep first hand connection to the Hiroshima bombing. Obviously, that portion of the experience was moving and somber, but it was also somewhat uplifting with a spirit of peace. The Iwajima portion of the tour was phenomenally beautiful and our guide really enriched it greatly. Overall, fantastic experience.
