What are people saying about Vancouver

Very convenient luggage storage in Cruise terminal
Great way to stone your luggage while you’re in Vancouver waiting to go to the airport after a cruise. After you go through immigration, just ask someone to direct you to their booth – – it’s right in the corner of the disembarkation terminal. There was no line – – we got our luggage ticket quickly, and it was a short walk to where we actually left some luggage.. We picked up the luggage in the same place (just outside the Cruise terminal at the lower level) quickly when we were ready to head to the airport. There was a traffic/control person there who called up and had a Taxi from the line on the street come down and pick us up. Flat Taxi rate to the airport – – couldn’t have been easier!

Whistler and Sea to Sky Gondola, a Fire and Ice Discovery.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable day with our driver Sukhan and tour guide Annika who was very informative and helpful. We visited the Sea to Sky Gondola and Annika showed us a short walk that we could take to see the beautiful views. We then went to Whistler where Annika took us to the Olympic Rings and allowed us to have our photo taken with the Olympic Torch. We had enough time to explore and enjoy a leisurely lunch. On our way back to Vancouver we had a stop at Shannon Falls where we had time to take photos.

Beautiful Gardens
We took a bus from Downtown to Van Dusen. The bus left us about 20 minutes away, but we enjoyed the walk through the beautiful neighborhood. The beautiful gardens are maintained by a large cast of staff and volunteers. A staff member recommended a different bus for our return. The bus stop was just outside the entrance, and the bus dropped us off in front of our hotel. An inexpensive, enjoyable half-day activity.

Great views. Grizzly bears. Good for seniors
Wife and I are both in our 70s. Tour guide on this one was Eric. Did a great job. The bridge and tree house stuff was fascinating. You need a bit of physical shape to walk the tree house route, but if you walk a little the good news is they have short rise to the steps with typically long runs of flat walking before another set of stairs. That said. If you have some difficulty walking up stairs you might want to pass on the tree top portion of the trip to the bridge etc. Grouse mountain includes the ride up the gondola with lots of scenic views at the top. Grizzly bear enclosure was interesting. Still some snow on the mountain early part of may , but it was mostly gone. Good trip for seniors. No hard walks etc. Leisure walk around the top of the mountain with the option to get something to ear before heading down.
