I had the absolute best time on this water boat excursion through the Indian Arm in Vancouver. The scenery was breathtaking—from stunning mountain views to peaceful stretches of untouched coastline, it was the perfect mix of nature and relaxation.
Our guide, Alec, was incredible. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and had a great sense of humor that made the tour even more enjoyable. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does and knows the area inside and out.
This experience was a highlight of my trip, and I’d 100% recommend it to anyone visiting Vancouver or even locals looking for a refreshing way to see their own backyard.

The whole tour felt unreal because of the beautiful views around us. We went faster than I thought and using the warming suit to protect from the wind was the right choice for me. My teens opted out! We saw so much more wildlife than we thought, including a bear and so many seals! My teens thought this tour was the best part of the trip since we are not boat people. Truly amazing experience.

Wonderful family adventure. Water experience to see Vancouver from the water and then entering the remoteness of the area, which was very serene. Wish we would have seen a few more animals.

What a beautiful experience of the waterways and nature surrounding Vancouver. Our Captain James is knowledgeable and experienced, providing a great narration for our journey. He is very safe, but still gives those board a thrilling experience - a few “donuts” on water and “close calls” to make sure everyone is awake!

If you don’t want to wear a red floating suit bring extra layers with you . You might get a splash of water but that’s about it. I recommend the front seat if you’re the adventurous type. We had Alec from SD and he was awesome!!
We saw Bald eagles, Harbor seal and her Pup, and lots of Jellyfish.

We all wore the suit and were happy we did. Saw seals, eagles and star fish. Marco was a great guide and driver. We were a family group grandchildren, parents and grandparents. Everyone had fun.

What a great way to get to know Vancouver! Starting out in trendy Granville Island, a comfortable, high speed zodiac whisks you on a guided tour that gives you a real taste of the diversity of living and working in this vibrant port city. From the condos of downtown Vancouver and English Bay, past the tall trees of Stanley Park and the multitude of Seawall walkers, joggers and bicyclists, under Lions Gate Bridge and into the working port of Vancouver: ships at anchor waiting outside the harbour, sea planes taking off an landing, bright yellow sulphur piles and fascinating cranes loaded and unloading giant container ships. Beautiful views of Canada Place and the cruise ships...then next thing you know it feels like you're a million miles away from civilization as you enter the Indian Arm glacial fjord and are surrounded by vast swaths of coniferous forest broken only occasionally by small clusters of homes and cottages accessible only by water. Two lovely waterfalls (Granite Falls and Silver Falls) afford great photo opportunities from the gently rocking boat and perhaps you'll see a seal or some jelly fish in this steep-walled saltwater channel cut by glaciers. After reaching the head of the fjord it's back the way you came, gently rocked by the speeding boat and before you know it you're back at Granville Island with the rest of the day open for shopping and dining - what a perfect mixture for a perfect day!
I went on a warm June day which mean my "survival" suit was barely necessary, but half zipped it did keep my legs nice and warm and protected from the wind as we sped along. The zodiac was incredibly comfortable, really fast and very steady, no problems there, although I do recommend taking sun screen since the light reflected off the water definitely gave me some colour!

We had a WONDERFUL tour with James! The scenery is AMAZING, the boat ride was so much fun and we were lucky to see some beautiful wildlife!

An excellent three hour tour of Vancouver in his zodiac boat! Fantastic guides, well organized, and great way to see Vancouver from the water.

My partner, sister, brother-in-law and I went on the Granite Falls Zodiac Tour the afternoon of June 7. Marco was our driver and guide. We had a blast! The company provides each person a full-body suit that makes you feel like an astronaut or arctic explorer, but keeps you toasty and dry. The tour itself was so much fun, a high speed boat ride up a fjord to areas that can only be reached by water. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous! And Marco was a warm and attentive host, making sure we were all comfortable and having a good time. A highlight was seeing orcas in the Vancouver Harbour! The whole experience felt magical and is one that we will treasure for a lifetime. Highly recommend this tour! ... Thank you, Marco!

Don’t miss this tour. Our family loved this experience! Captain Sam was awesome, informative and fun. The scenery was amazing. Wear the suit even when it’s in the low 70s. Enjoy!

Good excursion. Going around Stanley Park and up Indian Arm was fun. Marcus, our driver was informative and had a good sense of humor. Recommend a jacket, close fitting sun glasses and warm head wear. It is very windy and sometimes cold going that fast in a Kodiak
linklaurie, Jun 2026
Highly recommend. Our 3 grandkids sat up front. We all loved Marco’s narration and story telling. Went June 15. Started with no jacket, then put on a light jacket we brought and was comfortable til last 15 minutes when weather changed and cooler. Bring sunglasses. Saw nature and felt like we breathed fresh air in one area we stopped.

It was a beautiful day on the water. A great way to see Vancouver. The guides were informative and fun.
Douglas_E, Jun 2026
Our tour guide captain Sam was great. He kept us entertained and informed all along the way and is a great and safe boat driver. Also, the music playlist suited us perfectly as we are of the 1970s generation. Definitely take advantage of the dry suits. Even though they’re large and bulky and the day might be sunny and beautiful at the harbor, it can become very cold and even wet when you’re on the tour. Also make sure you put some sunscreen on your face and any other exposed parts of your body, even though it might be overcast or cool the reflection of the water can burn you easily. Consider bringing along some water to drink so you can stay hydrated.
Gregory_N, Jun 2026
The sights and commentary were outstanding! The zodiac tour is a great way to see the sights from the water, it's an exhilarating 3 hours, we even saw Orcas. Marco gave wonderful, interesting and informative commentary.
Tristan_D, Jun 2026
This was a brilliant trip. 3 hours of fun. Simon is a great guide and rib captain. We got to see lots of places with a 20 km round trip. Cannot recommend highly enough.
bmccall33, Jun 2026
Very unique and rewarding experience, which was far different from any other tour. I would highly recommend this for family and friends .
Lizbeth_R, Jun 2026
It was amazing!!! Sam our Captain was great!!! He was full of Canada knowledge and was a fun captain!
Debbie_Z, May 2026
Absolutely wonderful! Captain Ray maneuvered the boat up close and personal so we could get great views for pictures.
Very informative about the history of sights we stopped at.
TRISTINE_B, May 2026
Relaxing ride with incredibly beautiful scenery. Our guides were amazing - very knowledgeable and friendly.
Ashley_W, May 2026
This trip is wonderful! The boat is very comfortable even over big waves. Our captain Marco was phenomenal, safely navigating through the port and through the huge wakes from ships. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history and wildlife of Vancouver. Played great music and then brought us to the most spectacular serene pockets of untouched beauty. Don’t miss it!
Francois_B, May 2026
Captains Sam and Greg (just there for his pretty face according to him) gave us a great tour with lots of informations about the history of the places we were visiting.
The views were stunning, especially when we got into the Indian Arm fjord.
We sat at the front for the best view, but at the price of having our buttocks tenderized when we started hitting bigger waves. Still a comfortable ride given the speed these boats can reach.
If the day looks like it will be windy and lower than 20 degrees C, I recommend that you take the offered warm suit. They’ll lend you one for free and it makes all the difference. It also doubles as a floatation device.
Also don’t spare on the sunscreen! The mix of sun and fast winds will cook you if you are sensitive.
Anyway, highly recommend the adventure!
