We start by collecting paddles and buoyancy aid, then with the help of transport wheels take our aluminium Canadian canoes to the waterside. After some brief instruction we launch the canoes into the lake and set off into fantastic surroundings! After a while we find our way into an isolated hidden section, then we continue on until we reach a remote island where we can rest, have refreshments and explore. With a little luck, we may even spot some local wildlife. If you have the energy we can continue paddling to a secluded beach with a traditional outdoor shelter with a place for a fire. Go early and plan to stay longer.

Everyone told us not to miss the Vasa- and they were right. We only planned on spending two hours in the museum but really needed 3-4 to see all the things! Our guide, Olivia, was incredible and I wish we’d had longer to see the museum from top to bottom, but I guess we just have to come back. For those who don’t like big crowds, plan to go early. It was a little crowded on our Saturday morning tour, but we saw the big tour busses pull in as we walked out around noon.

Tor and Viking History Tour--A+

This tour covers a lot of ground and history in nine hours and was the perfect activity for the last day of my visit to Sweden. Tor, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. He also deftly adjusted times spent at each site resulting from traffic delays leaving Stockholm in the morning, so well that the full itinerary was met. There were eight of us in one van, so it was a small-ish number of people, which kept things personable (the van was at maximum occupancy and quite cozy inside, so keep this in mind if you have motion sickness). After visiting a number of Viking historical sites we had a free hour in Sigtuna to grab lunch and explore and finished up the afternoon at Gamla Uppsala and the Uppsala Cathedral and Castle. I do a lot of tours when I travel and one of the key factors of a great tour is the guide's passion for the topic and generosity with responding to questions. This tour is in the top of my favorites, primarily due to Tor.

A good little tour. We didn’t go very far but all the stops included good food including a full meal main course. Our guide, David, was excellent and gave us a lot of history, tips and stories. I’d recommend this trip and can confirm you will not be hungry at the end of it. 2hrs 40mins in total and there were 10 in our group.

What a beautiful cruise! Stunning views of the archipelago either up top with the wind in your hair or inside at a comfy café setting. The fika is a nice touch of course. A great way to kill 2 hours and see more than you might have otherwise. Kim was also super nice and funny while giving facts about the islands and some buildings as we passed by.

Spooky Season in the Stan

This was such a fun way to experience Gamla Stan at night. Christine made it memorable with her good storytelling and creative props and approach and dark humor. It's also much less crowded in the streets at night so feels exclusive and like less of a tourist impact. A lot was packed into a short time. Be prepared to walk FAST. I was almost sprinting between the stops. Add it to your list for a fall-time visit, especially!

Very interesting walking tour of Gamla Stan filled with historical anecdotes. Our tour leader, Josephine, spoke excellent English and delivered her well-rehearsed punchlines with a sense of dry, understated humour which I personally found hilarious. Highly recommended so long as you have the physical stamina to remain standing and walking for 2.5 hours straight.

Great tour, and customer service too!

We had an issue with the cruise ship. Well, I think they forgot about the time zone change. Anyway, we had to contact customer service of this tour here, and they were very helpful and polite! They did what the cruise ship and the booking site didn't do. They really are a class act, and the tour was fun, relaxing and the guide was great. Got lots of pictures, and relaxed on the calm waters in the city! Highly suggest!
