The night time river boat cruise on the Huangpu with Queena was absolutely amazing. She did a fantastic job with making this cruise unforgettable. Queena is very knowledgeable and has a terrific personality which made this cruise a must when your come to Shanghai. Queena was right on time for pickup at the hotel and truly made this trip something that I will never forget. If you have a chance you should request Queena as your tour guide.

Great tour; great value; GREAt guide!

To start with, make certain that they assign Lily to you. She is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate and a problem solver extraordinaire! This is a full day, with walking, crowds and a great deal to see. Be prepared! In our case, we had to travel slower due to a recent injury. But Lily made things happen and we got through just about everything! We did cut the Garden short by choice, as this afternoon was incredibly busy to the point it was difficult for us. Again, Lily navigated around things for us. The included lunch was absolutely delicious, and plentiful. This was not “here’s what you get” - our lunches were ordered as we decided off the menu, accommodating different tastes and diets. Again, Lily handled this for us with ease and helped making tremendous choices. In short - this was a great tour and delivered a lot for the value. Again, ask for Lily!

Wonderful day and tour guide

We had a private tour with Sammi, and it was a fantastic day. She did a wonderful job showing us new and old Shanghai, explaining the evolution of the city. Her knowledge and guidance was spectacular, as we went from site to site learning about each location. She did a great job explaining how the city has changed over the years showing us the old; the private garden, and the new; Shanghai Tower. I would recommend this tour if you are visiting for the first time or if you would like to learn the history of the city. Sammi was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and willing to take pictures of my family at each stop along the way.

Had such a wonderful...

Had such a wonderful morning walking around the historic buildings, starting from the French Concession and ending at People’s Square, while savouring many types of breakfast that locals enjoy. I was lucky to have Jim as my guide, who explained the history behind the places we passed along the way. The restaurants and food stalls he brought my group to were hidden gems not mentioned in the usual travel guides. I would recommend this walking tour to those who want to learn more about the history of Shanghai while enjoying local food delicacies.

Absolutely lovely experience

This experience was lovely and absolutely customised till the very very T. My guide Elaine was knowledgeable and very precise about each and every place that we went to. Since I was travelling solo it almost felt like traveling with a friend and she was very considerate and warm too. A lovely day with my...

A lovely day with my guide, Miao. Super nice, extremely knowledgeable and interesting It is quite a long day, but the bullet train is fune and it is good to see a bit more of ordinary Chinese life. The southern wall is a little underwhelming, I found the old town walk much more interesting and enjoyable. It is quite expensive for what it is, but I had a lovely day.

We spent the night cruising along the Huangpu River with the stunning Pudong skyline lit up before us — absolutely breathtaking. Tom then guided us through the atmospheric lanes of Old Shanghai and the beautiful French Concession, bringing both neighbourhoods to life with stories and insights we simply wouldn’t have found in any guidebook. Tom is everything you want in a guide: incredibly knowledgeable, wonderfully patient, and genuinely friendly. His English is excellent, making communication completely effortless throughout the evening. He also took us to some fantastic spots to pick up a few local treasures to bring home — and crucially, he knew exactly where to go for the best prices. No tourist traps here! Shanghai truly is a different city by night, and Tom knows how to show it off at its very best. We came away with memories, a few great souvenirs, and a deep appreciation for this remarkable city. She was so patient with all my questions and incredibly knowledgable about everywhere we went. I made multiple changes to the original suggested itinerary making this even more impressive. Alana behind the scenes was always attentive ensuring the whole experience went smoothly and our driver was on point. Always close by ready for the next stop.
