I was apprehensive about booking a tour guide for a solo day experience in Shanghai, but I need not have worried. May is an excellent tour guide. She was so patient with all my questions and incredibly knowledgable about everywhere we went. I made multiple changes to the original suggested itinerary making this even more impressive. Alana behind the scenes was always attentive ensuring the whole experience went smoothly and our driver was on point. Always close by ready for the next stop. May made the experience so worthwhile I will plan to book a similar tour when I get my wife to come to Shanghai.

May, our tour guide, took us on a very informative and extensive tour of Shanghai. She was very patient and and spent as much time as needed to tell us about the history and culture of this huge and beautiful city. May worked with us at our speed and answered our many questions and did not rush us along. We stayed with the recommended itinerary and we thoroughly enjoyed our day. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to get a good feel of Shanghai with a guide whose English is excellent and will go out of her way to give a great overview of her city. I booked this tour for trip with my family. The tour went well. Alana was very prompt in providing us with the tour guide information. Berlin, our tour guide, was courteous, very patient and accomodating. We travelled with an elderly who is on a wheelchair. The driver was helpful and drove safely. Highly recommended and definitely will contact them again for future trip. Thank you!

My wife and I really enjoyed this tour. Jenny was a lot of fun with many interesting things to share. She explained she has been a tour guide for 15 years in Shanghai and it showed. The driver and her were very accommodating and travel from site to site was in a comfortable Tesla 3.

Jenny was a wonderful hostess! She had a driver that went with us all day which made the day so wonderful as the driver let us off at the front door and picked us back up in the same area! Jenny could speak great English which helped us so much! Our cruise ship only went to 2 places and no way could they have given us any personal treatment as there are over 50 people on the tour bus. Our wonderful guide Jenny gave us a VIP tour and we got to see the places our ship was going (without all the crowds) and she also added 5 more places! She took us to this market that had fresh Chinese tea and talked to the lady at the tea shop the whole time for us! We got to sample so many hot teas and we left there with some of that great tea to take back to the states! It is so hard to travel in a foreign country when we do not know their language so Jenny saved the day for us! The driver was so kind too ….always opening my door for me which made me feel so special. Alana (that communicated with us once I booked the tour) was great too and she knew our ship was leaving earlier than what our itinerary said before the ship had even told us! I was very impressed with this company from start to finish! Don’t hesitate- call this company and book your own private tour with them! We saw way more sights today than the people on our cruise ship and we felt sorry for them that they didn’t have the same opportunities and experiences that we had today! Shanghai is so very beautiful and everyone in China has been so kind to us! Thank you Jenny, Alana and our wonderful driver! We were bummed that our cruise ship only spent one day here as Shanghai is one of the most beautiful and cleanest cities that we have ever visited. Thanks again!

A fantastic overview of Shanghai. May our guide was exceptional, informative, really helpful and very friendly. We saw so many different aspects of this wonderful city. Alana her manager was also really helpful and upgraded our tour to add a free lunch (which was delicious) as the Yu gardens are closed on Mondays. Our driver was also excellent and the car very comfortable and air conditioned which helped a lot. I would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone who has not visited Shanghai before.

I had a wonderful tour with Jenny exploring this beautiful city! We covered so many areas in a very short time, but I never felt rushed and she kept checking to make sure I was seeing everything I hoped to see. We went for a delicious authentic lunch with no tourists in the place. She also gave me tips on how to navigate the city for the rest of my trip. I never would have been able to do this all on my own. I highly recommend.

Xin was our guide and arrived at the hotel ahead of schedule, waiting for us in the lobby. Get English was incredible and her knowledge of the history, the sites, and the city was impressive. She helped us get in to every location, showed us the best spots for pictures, and guided us through food choices and shopping. She helped us get expensive but high quality local tea, and find cheaper options off the beaten path at local markets for souvenirs. We had a wonderful, perfect day. If we ever come back - and I hope we will - we will see booking this again!

I booked this trip through Viator and can honestly say it was the best value trip I’ve ever had! Our tour guide was Jenny and she met us at our hotel reception, our driver followed soon after.. Jenny took us to the Temple of the Jade Buddha to get our trip started. She explained that visiting the temple first would mean that the rest of our trip would be blessed and it certainly was!! We spent a while at the temple. There was plenty to see and lots to learn about the Buddhist religion and the importance of Jade in China. Jenny spoke perfect English,. She was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer all of our questions ( and there were lots of them ) From the temple we went to The Bund. Jenny pointed out all the buildings of significance, and when I told her I used to work for an international bank she showed me the building iit was once in and the new one it had moved to across the river. As we had been blessed with sunny weather we had a walk along the riverside before visiting the main shopping area in Shanghai where all the major stores were located. Our driver picked us up from there and we made our way to the Old City. The architecture was stunning! Jenny advised us how old the city was and we were able to marvel at how the old mixed with the new in Shanghai. Jenny took us into a shop in the old city to look at the jade and fresh water pearls. She taught us that we should barter with the shopkeepers if we wanted to buy anything so I gave it a go and bought myself some Jade earrings. I will cherish them always. ❤️ Next stop was a visit to a traditional Tea House, the Yu Garden Bazaar. Jenny had been telling us how Chinese people love to drink tea and that the many teas have different health benefits so this visit brought it to life. We tried 6 different teas and had a detailed explanation of what each one’s health giving properties were. We bought some tea to give as a gift while we were there. From the yea house we went to Yu Gardens. It was very busy but we walked around at our leisure while Jenny told us the story of the garden’s origins and pointed out all the points of interest in the gardens. Throughout the trip we never felt that we were rushed and we had ample time to take photos. We had by this time spent six hours who was keen to take us anywhere else we wanted to see in her city before we ate. We were happy with what we had managed to see and decided it was time to eat. Jenny gave us a choice of whether we would like to sample fried dumplings or go for some Chinese food,?we chose the latter. The driver picked us up again and Jenny took us to a restaurant where Jenny asked us what we liked to eat and ordered a selection from the menu for us. The food as amazing! H this time it was 5:00pm. We had a full day sight seeing Making memories, eating delicious food and having the pleasure of excellent company in the form of Jenny who started the day as our tour guide and by the end became like a friend. I highly recommend Jenny and the trip. Who better to show you around than someone who loves the city they live in.

Private tour with guide Judy plus driver was excellent from beginning with a pick up from hotel instead of us trying to get downtown ourselves and return. Very accommodating with additional request to see other sites. Judy was very knowledgeable and showed us many interesting places This our first time with a private tour guide/driver as we usually do group tours and enjoyed this tour immensely. We would definitely recommend this tour to any visitors with a limit time to visit Shanghai like we had !
