Our guide Kalvin was excellent. Our driver was safe and reliable. We had early chats before the trip to discuss the day, and because of our preferences for historic architecture in Shanghai, our guide was chosen by the tour company to be a local, and we discussed the tour ahead. We had an extraordinary lunch with Kalvin and they kindly dropped us in a different location to suit us. We visited interesting places, learned, ate and had a great day!
XIN was a great and experienced guide. She knew when our kids were tired and ready to move to the next stop and was great on a few adjustments we requested.
We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring Shanghai with Jane, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better guide. From the moment we met her, she was warm, welcoming, and genuinely excited to show us her city. It felt like spending the day with a knowledgeable local friend rather than being on a tour.
Jane customized the day perfectly and made sure we got to experience both the iconic sights and the unique character of Shanghai. Walking along The Bund while she shared stories about the city's fascinating history and impressive skyline gave us a whole new appreciation for how Shanghai has evolved over the years. Visiting Yu Garden was another highlight, and Jane explained the history and symbolism behind the beautiful architecture and gardens in a way that made it so much more meaningful.
We also loved wandering through the French Concession, where Jane pointed out hidden gems, historic buildings, and charming streets we never would have discovered on our own. The visit to Shanghai Tower was the perfect way to finish the day—the views were absolutely breathtaking, and Jane made sure we knew exactly what we were looking at as we admired the city from above.
What really made the tour special was Jane herself. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, funny, and happy to answer every question we had. She paced the day perfectly, never making us feel rushed, and she even gave us fantastic recommendations for local restaurants, cafés, and places to explore after the tour. Every recommendation was excellent!
This was one of the best tours we've ever done and easily one of the highlights of our trip to China. If you're visiting Shanghai, this tour is an absolute must. And if you're lucky enough to have Jane as your guide, you're in for an unforgettable day. I was apprehensive about booking a tour guide for a solo day experience in Shanghai, but I need not have worried. May is an excellent tour guide. She was so patient with all my questions and incredibly knowledgable about everywhere we went. I made multiple changes to the original suggested itinerary making this even more impressive. Alana behind the scenes was always attentive ensuring the whole experience went smoothly and our driver was on point. Always close by ready for the next stop. May made the experience so worthwhile I will plan to book a similar tour when I get my wife to come to Shanghai.

May, our tour guide, took us on a very informative and extensive tour of Shanghai. She was very patient and and spent as much time as needed to tell us about the history and culture of this huge and beautiful city. May worked with us at our speed and answered our many questions and did not rush us along. We stayed with the recommended itinerary and we thoroughly enjoyed our day. I booked this tour for trip with my family. The tour went well. Alana was very prompt in providing us with the tour guide information. Berlin, our tour guide, was courteous, very patient and accomodating. We travelled with an elderly who is on a wheelchair. The driver was helpful and drove safely. My wife and I really enjoyed this tour. Jenny was a lot of fun with many interesting things to share. She explained she has been a tour guide for 15 years in Shanghai and it showed. The driver and her were very accommodating and travel from site to site was in a comfortable Tesla 3.
Jenny was a wonderful hostess! She had a driver that went with us all day which made the day so wonderful as the driver let us off at the front door and picked us back up in the same area! Jenny could speak great English which helped us so much! Our cruise ship only went to 2 places and no way could they have given us any personal treatment as there are over 50 people on the tour bus. Our wonderful guide Jenny gave us a VIP tour and we got to see the places our ship was going (without all the crowds) and she also added 5 more places! She took us to this market that had fresh Chinese tea and talked to the lady at the tea shop the whole time for us! We got to sample so many hot teas and we left there with some of that great tea to take back to the states! It is so hard to travel in a foreign country when we do not know their language so Jenny saved the day for us! The driver was so kind too ….always opening my door for me which made me feel so special. Alana (that communicated with us once I booked the tour) was great too and she knew our ship was leaving earlier than what our itinerary said before the ship had even told us! I was very impressed with this company from start to finish! Don’t hesitate- call this company and book your own private tour with them! We saw way more sights today than the people on our cruise ship and we felt sorry for them that they didn’t have the same opportunities and experiences that we had today! Shanghai is so very beautiful and everyone in China has been so kind to us! Thank you Jenny, Alana and our wonderful driver! We were bummed that our cruise ship only spent one day here as Shanghai is one of the most beautiful and cleanest cities that we have ever visited. Thanks again!
A fantastic overview of Shanghai. May our guide was exceptional, informative, really helpful and very friendly. We saw so many different aspects of this wonderful city. Alana her manager was also really helpful and upgraded our tour to add a free lunch (which was delicious) as the Yu gardens are closed on Mondays. Our driver was also excellent and the car very comfortable and air conditioned which helped a lot. I would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone who has not visited Shanghai before.

I had a wonderful tour with Jenny exploring this beautiful city! We covered so many areas in a very short time, but I never felt rushed and she kept checking to make sure I was seeing everything I hoped to see. We went for a delicious authentic lunch with no tourists in the place. She also gave me tips on how to navigate the city for the rest of my trip. I never would have been able to do this all on my own. I highly recommend.

Xin was our guide and arrived at the hotel ahead of schedule, waiting for us in the lobby. Get English was incredible and her knowledge of the history, the sites, and the city was impressive. She helped us get in to every location, showed us the best spots for pictures, and guided us through food choices and shopping. She helped us get expensive but high quality local tea, and find cheaper options off the beaten path at local markets for souvenirs. We had a wonderful, perfect day. If we ever come back - and I hope we will - we will see booking this again!
