Top Shanghai Day Trips

This wasn’t my first cruise with dinner in Shanghai but this time me and all our group felt special thanks to the people that took care of us during the event Lin and Alana. Lin as a our guide was very devoted and helpfull and made everybody feel good and valid. She provided also interesting information about Shanghai and suggested good dishes at restaurants, and Alana made us feel safe from the time of booking the tour. That’s how good service should be like to make a simple event a special one. Thank you Lin and Alana and hopelly see you again in Shanghai!

Excellent trip Caroline looked after very well she was friendly and knowledgeable and explained everything. Tracey our 2nd guide was excellent friendly very knowledgeable both of our drivers were polite and friendly . Would definitely recommend Viator tours would definitely use them again.

I booked this tour for myself and colleagues who were visiting the city and wanted a unique experience. Our guide (Jim) reached out prior to arrival and gave me helpful instructions on where to meet. Our group (3) joined 2 others, and it was a perfect sized tour (5) for the walk and venues. Jim was so kind and knowledgeable, and he really took the time to offer history and a view into the day to day lives of those living in Shanghai and what they ate. Admittedly I was a curious as to the quality considering the cost - I am sure you can find cheaper tours), however all those thought quickly evaporated when we met Jim and headed off on our tour. We visited hole in the wall businesses, fruit and tea shops, dumplings and parks, soups and steam buns. My colleagues were very grateful for the experience and so was I - i would recommend wholeheartedly.

This tour was excellent- five stars! Kalvin tailored the tour to suit my 79 year old mother’s walking abilities and interests. The water city was stunning and relaxed. We thoroughly enjoyed our time wandering the gardens and taking a boat along the canal. A fantastic addition to our time in Shanghai!

This was such a great tour. Snow did amazing at educating me, making me feel safe and making sure I had a good time as a solo black girl. Mr Chu was also a great driver and so hospitable despite minimal interactions. And thank you to Alana too for arranging this for me. So glad I used my layover for this and can’t wait to come back and do Shanghai properly!!

Annie was an excellent tour guide. She made the tour fun, interesting and educational. I love to learn and Annie was a wealth of information that made me spend the evening dive further into many of the topics we discussed. Everything was easy and enjoyable - so much so that I am doing a tour with her again the next day!

Our Shanghai night tour, including the Old City and the Huangpu River cruise, was absolutely amazing. The city looks breathtaking at night. Tom was an excellent guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and well-organized. He shared many interesting stories and made the whole experience enjoyable and memorable.
