Berlin Hong Lan is an excellent and friendly guide more like a friend showing you around her city. My daughter and I booked a private day tour with a flexible itinerary since I wanted to see the Humble Administrators garden rather than the Master of Nets or Lionshead gardens with rickshaw ride and visit to the silk museum offered on the other private tours. Our van was very comfortable with armchair seats and umbrellas. Berlin efficiently got us into the Bullet train where 30 minutes later we went in a similarly comfortable van to old Shantung street. Berlin is an engaging guide telling us interesting snippets about China’s most ancient city. After a brunch of crab noodles and tasty xiao long Bao in Shantung street we boarded a boat ride giving us an interesting perspective of the old houses along the canals. From there we were driven to the Panmen city wall and gate with pagoda a beautiful classic example of Chinese lake pavilions and covered walkways. At the Humble Administrator’s Garden, Berlin showed us the hidden places and facts of Suzhou’s largest garden. Berlin then took us to an excellent restaurant showcasing some tasty dishes of fish, pork belly, stir fried pork mushroom and capsicum, noodles. An excellent finish before taking the bullet train back to Shanghai where the van dropped us back our hotel. Berlin showed us such a great tour of Suzhou and some of the highlights that I would highly recommend her.

We had a lovely time with Queena exploring Suzhou! I'm so glad we did this day trip from Shanghai, very worth. The whole tour ran very smoothly, even though there were multiple transportation modes across two cities. Both Queena and the driver were very patient with my 12 month old and provided a carseat. Queena was a rockstar dealing with my perennially picky dad at lunch - at it was super delicious. Always happy to try something local! All in all we loved it and would definitely recommend.

Our Guide Caroline was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating! We wouldn’t do the canal boat ride tour do to unforeseen circumstances but she was able to book another cruise on the river.

We visited Suzhou from Shanghai for a day trip, and Caroline made the experience absolutely wonderful for both me and my mom. She was extremely warm, patient, and knowledgeable, and explained everything in a very clear and engaging way.
Caroline planned the day smoothly, took great care of us, and made sure we were comfortable at all times. She shared interesting history and cultural insights while also giving us enough time to enjoy the beautiful gardens and scenery at our own pace. My mom especially appreciated how kind and attentive Caroline was.
Thanks to her, our trip to Suzhou was stress-free, well organized, and very memorable. I would highly recommend Caroline to anyone visiting Suzhou, especially families traveling from Shanghai.

Lulu made our Suzhou trip amazing. She rescheduled without hesitation when we had to shift the tour and planned the whole day around our four year old, which kept things relaxed and fun. We visited Shantang Street, Pan City Gate, and walked along Pingjiang Road, which became our favorite spot. She brought us to a local place for lunch and shared great stories about the city since she grew up there.
Our son fell asleep in my arms at one point, and Lulu jumped in as photographer so we wouldn’t miss any memories. Her photos were great. If you want a friendly, flexible guide who really knows Suzhou, she’s the one to book.

My husband and I took this private day tour of Suzhou from Shanghai with our guide Jane. She was great at organising the time so we felt we were able to see everything without rushing but also with very little waiting around. Jane also gave clear and interesting information about all the places we visited. It was also great to experience the trip to/from Suzhou on the bullet train. I recommend this tour.

It was great to do this tour as a solo traveller because I didn’t have to worry about anything. Xin was a great tour guide, she essentially took on the role of my mother for the day, she decided what I wanted for breakfast, carried my bag so I could take photos and shouted at other tourists to get out of said photos. She also advised me when not to buy things that were too expensive and instead haggled me some great bargains. On top of all this, she had a wealth of knowledge about the city and its history that she shared throughout the day. Suzhou is lovely and I found the day very relaxing. I particularly loved the gardens, which were really beautiful.

We wanted to visit Suzhou while staying in Shanghai, and this tour seemed like the perfect option since we were short on time.
Alana from the agency was very communicative from the beginning and provided clear information right away. We met our guide, Berlin, at 9:00am sharp at our hotel lobby and started our trip. Everything was perfectly and smoothly organised, from the transfer to the station, to the high-speed train to Suzhou, and all the transportation in the city and back.
Berlin was very friendly and professional, and her English level was excellent. Her explanations were informative and engaging, which made the visit very enjoyable.
We would surely recommend Berlin as a guide, and this tour in general, to anyone who does not have enough time to stay overnight in Suzhou but still wants to get a taste of the city’s history, culture, and character while based in Shanghai.

Lulu was a wonderful guide. She accommodated all of our last-minute requests, including the silk museum which was very interesting. She explained a lot about Chinese history and healthy practices, including the nuances of Suzhou life and food, as opposed to Shanghai where we originated on this trip. We saw the Humble Administrators garden, but it was VERY busy, so we didn’t spend as much time there. The boat ride and rickshaw was fun, but I would have probably liked to have a bit more time to shop instead. It was fantastic to have guides and drivers to and within the stations, too. Overall, very fun day.

From start to finish, everything was planned so smoothly. Caroline was our tour guide. She was very warm, friendly and so knowledgeable with the history of each place we visited. She navigated us through the crowds and to our bullet train transfers so efficiently. We even got free Mandarin lessons from her through the day. We will be back with our families for sure.
