Dramatic beauty and picturesque coastal views that are simply breathtaking
We enjoyed an exceptional and picturesque tour of Santorini, and our driver and guide Angelo significantly enhanced our experience by collecting us from the airport. The tour comprehensively covered the entirety of the island, with Angelo leading us to all prominent attractions and optimal photography locations. This included a guided walking tour of Oia, which is accessible on foot or by donkey, and he introduced us to an excellent gelato establishment. Angelo provided clear explanations throughout the journey, and the walking tour at the Akrotiri Archaeological Site was particularly noteworthy. The tour was characterized by numerous highlights, all experienced without undue haste, and concluded with a mid-afternoon meal at the stunning Perivolos Beach, at Angelo's recommended restaurant, Forty one 41, situated on the beach's edge. While the tour's quality is contingent upon individual participation, a skilled & engaging tour guide such as Angelo undoubtedly renders it unforgettable, and we extend our gratitude to him for creating lifelong memories.

Trip Highlight
Amazing experience! We got to see so many things we wouldn’t have seen without this tour. My husband and I decided to do two separate ATVs because we both wanted drive and it was great. It was our first time riding an ATV and we felt super safe, the guides stopped to help start and stop your vehicle at every check point. There was a perfect amount of riding and walking, we had the best time and would definitely recommend this tour!

Excellent Intro to Santorini
Our half-day Santorini tour with Viator/Holiday Tours was absolutely fabulous and the perfect way to spend your first day on the island!
Our guide, Irini, a lifelong Santorini resident, was incredibly knowledgeable about the island’s history and culture. Our driver, Mr. Mike, was outstanding as well — and trust me, that matters on Santorini! The roads are very narrow with steep climbs and tight turns, and we always felt completely safe in his hands.
One of the highlights was visiting the oldest Byzantine church on the island, built in 1115, with beautiful historic wall paintings. We also learned about Santorini’s unique method of growing grapes. Instead of vines on trellises like you’d normally see, the vines are trained low to the ground and woven into circular “baskets,” with the grapes growing protected in the center. Visiting in the off-season (late March), the fields looked deserted and just weeds from a distance, but Irini took us into a field and up close you could see the circular shapes and tiny leaves just beginning to sprout.
We stopped at several spectacular viewpoints including the historic lighthouse and the Red Beach, both offering incredible photo opportunities. Irini also shared fascinating information about Santorini’s volcanoes, earthquakes, and the prehistoric village that was buried in lava and is now an extraordinary archaeological site.
Our tour ended perfectly with sunset in Oia, the famous village with the blue domes and white buildings perched above the caldera.
And a special bonus — Irini is an amazing photographer! She not only offers to take photos, she knows how to use different cameras and phones and helps you pose creatively — even lining up perfect shots and making suggestions, then taking a TON of pix for you!. She also offered to film video for us. Thanks to her, I came home with some incredible photos.
We also loved learning that Irini is named after Saint Irene, the saint from which Santorini gets its name.
Both Irini and Mr. Mike were incredibly helpful, friendly, and passionate about their island. This tour was informative, beautiful, and fun — truly an excellent introduction to Santorini. We contracted them for more help getting around the island as we had no car!
Highly recommend this tour for your first day on the island!

Best Tour Ever!
Sometimes in your travels you meet the perfect person, on the perfect day, in the perfect place, …. and that is what happened on our tour of the island of Santorini Greece! Our tour guide, Christos, was beyond wonderful. He shared the history of the island as we drove to incredibly picturesque photo stops. He drove to places we never could have seen or known
about without him. One of our favorites was the Church of Prophet Elias built in 1750 on the top of a high mountain. We even met the man who is the caretaker and helped rebuild the church after it was destroyed in the 1956 earthquake. He drove us through adorable villages and to the top of the highest point in Santorini. He took us to the black sand beach and found the best seafood restaurant called Perivolos Fish Tavern. We all had fresh fish that had just been caught from the sea! It was excellent! He shared so much interesting information with us and listened to all our many stories, too! On our way back to our place in Oia he even agreed to stop at a market so we could pick up a few groceries!!
Chris is not only an absolutely magnificent tour guide but a wonderful, caring, and thoughtful man!
Best Tour Ever!!!❤️

Best Tour!
Absolutely incredible tour. Best way to see the whole island and even get a swim in at some of these amazing beaches. Our guide was adaptable to our interests which led to a great mix of history, beautiful beaches and more technical driving - all and all a great time and a major highlight of our time in Santorini.
If you want to see parts of the island you’ll never see on your own then sign up for this!

Authentic, Beautiful, and Unforgettable Experience
This cooking class was one of the highlights of our time in Santorini! It felt incredibly authentic—fast-paced, engaging, and filled with a true sense of Greek family warmth. The setting inside a traditional cave home was pristine and beautiful, with an upscale yet cozy atmosphere that felt worlds away from the tourist crowds.
We loved that we got to prepare and eat the very dishes we touched and cooked ourselves—everything was delicious, and there was plenty of wine flowing throughout! The hosts shared their beautiful family story, making the experience feel personal and meaningful.
It was also very educational—full of practical tips and recipes we can now bring home to extend the charm of our Greek adventure through its cuisine. A high-end, off-the-beaten-path experience that we’d absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Santorini!

I’ll Miss You!
We loved this stop! Penny was our tour guide and she was adorable! George was our driver and we loved him, too.
It was a sunny day, but super windy (25-30min) and about 67 degrees (Fahrenheit). We all had light sweaters/jackets and it was perfect. Some even wore shorts and were fine.
My advice, take all the photos and consider turning them into puzzles or canvas or wall art because WOW! We didn’t get to ride the donkeys since there was a recent landslide, but the cable car experience was quick and easy.
We did the half day tour and added an extra winery to our stops. We are wine lovers, so this was perfect for us! We did prefer the first winery, though. It was called Artemis Karamolegos. We ate lunch and did a tasting. We also got to see the production and barrel rooms. The food was amazing and the wine was delicious. We bought 2 additional bottles and they said they distribute to the states.
Something to know before you book, if you do the winery, the lunch is paid on your own there and the tasting is paid the day before to the travel company. They will send you a link to prepay. The tasting was €20pp. For lunch, we all shared a bunch of things and it was somewhere around €25pp. There were 11 of us.
Overall, I recommend this tour! Penny and George made the experience so fun and Penny is even a certified sommelier, which was perfect for our wine loving group. We learned quite a few Greek words and a few “bad” ones too! Our transportation was comfortable and roomy. We will definitely return to Santorini!

My husband and I did a full day private tour, around 6-7 hours, and thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end! Theodore was our tour guide. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and we had a lot of fun. He drove us all over the island and gave us a lot of information I don’t think many tourists get when visiting Santorini. He also took us to a wonderful restaurant, a little off the beaten path, but on the beach, for a DELICIOUS meal and some great local white wine. Overall wonderful tour! We loved Santorini and will definitely be back again. Thank you, Theo!

Exceptional day tour.
Our guide was Stelios. We really enjoyed his company. He was quiet, and I do not mean that in a bad way. It was nice to have a guide that listened instead of talking all the time. He was very knowledgable about the island and its history and people. He was very attentive to our needs and our requests. He showed us everything we wanted to see and more. If you want an enjoyable day with an exceptional guide. Ask for Stelios.

George was a great host of Santorini. Highly recommend, can't get this level service with a cruise ship buses. Hit the attractions in great comfort and avoided the big crowds. We've been on a lot of cruises, and this excursion was one of the best, well organized and extremely informative.
