This was truly an unforgettable afternoon. The tour was semiprivate which we share with a pleasant and friendly couple. The three wineries we visited gave us three different experiences, great dinner, great sunset view, while enjoining good wine and a relax atmosphere. Our guide Nick was just great, very knowledgeable and attentive. Thanks to him we had an unforgettable experience.

Nicholas was great! Very accommodating. We visited 3 wineries, 5 course meal with pairing at Artemis, sunset view and a glass of wine at Santo winery and last stop at a boutique winery for 4 tasting, making 10 tasting total. Can recommend more.

Don't think about it just book it!! It was our 20th Wedding Anniversary and we wanted to do something different. We don't drink wine so this we thought was just perfect...something different!! Just before the trip started we recieved a text message from George to say as a gift from "winestories Santorini " we had been upgraded to a private tour. We had no idea what to expect!! Our Sommelier, driver & guide arrived early in a lovely air conditioned vehicle. From the off we loved "constantine"/ kostas. He told us his story, how he became a Sommelier as we drove to the first winery Gaia. This used to be a beach club and we were not expecting to see what we saw when we entered. I won't spoil the surprise!! We did tapas & wine tasting guided by kostas - fabulous. We then went to Artemis karamolegos - WOW!! 200 Year old grape & olive trees still producing fruit. we had food & wine pairings which were amazing. At the end of the meal the staff bought out a deconstructed Bougatsa which had "20" candles on for our anniversary. A lovely thoughtful special touch. We then toured the wine cellars and bottling process downstairs. We loved this one and thought it would be hard to beat....however the night just got better as we went to Venetsanos winery. We toured the cave museum then were seated at our table overlooking the caldera for the most stunning sunset. This night and tour turned into something we were not expecting....a magical fantastic experience where we made some very special memories. We were driven back to our hotel and given a little gift from Winestories Santorini. All in all we cannot recommend Winestories Santorini enough. They went above & beyond

It was 4 of us girls doing this tour and we really enjoyed it. The portions of food were large and everything was delicious. We were so full in the end hahaha. The wine we tried was amazing. Our guide was great. He was so friendly and even offered several times to take our pictures. We really enjoyed this tour and would book again.

This was the perfect excursion for our visit to Santorini! Constantine was our Sommelier. He is very knowledgeable about the Greek wines and the vineyards. I am not a wine connoisseur by any means, but in our tasting, I found multiple wines that I liked. The sunset was magnificent at the winery and we had the “best table in the house”! Amazing!

Not fun without other travelers

Although Nicolas was a great tour guide, this tour was not what we signed up for. We were not informed that it would not be a small group and it would be a private tour. If we had known we would’ve canceled. my husband and I travel independently and so when we do tours, we always look to be with other people. We find that what makes it fun, is engaging with other people from other countries. Most of the reviews articulated thqt the other participants is what made this tour so special. We enjoyed trying the wines and Nicholas was upbeat and informative but the tour was flat! Nicolas tried four times to try and have his manager cancel our reservation and give us a refund, but he was adamant that that was not going to happen and we could either lose the $420 or go on the tour. We totally appreciate that the policy is that you cannot cancel on the day but feel as the tour was not what was described. There were extenuating circumstances. We would have been happy with a partial refund, as obviously ,Nicolas had driven to our hotel and should be paid for his time. What made matters worse was we discovered there was another couple that had signed up and we’re coming from a different town. We asked if we could join them on the tour. The manager said no, it would not work out. . It didn’t make sense, as we discovered in the last 10 minutes of our tour, that the couple was, at the same venues,at the same time as us through the tour and would love to have joined us. Everywhere else in Greece people have been nothing but accommodating and I think on this occasion, the manager let the tour company tour company down! Left a bad taste in our mouths, other than that of a crisp, white wine!!

Regarding the tour description, as clearly stated on our website prior to booking, the experience is designed for small groups of 2 to 8 participants, with a minimum of 2 people required. In cases where there are no other participants near your location, the tour proceeds with the existing bookings. It is worth noting that when a tour includes only two participants, we upgrade it to a private experience at no additional cost, offering a more personalized and exclusive service. This is considered a benefit by many of our guests, who often choose to pay extra for a private experience. With respect to the second couple you mentioned, we completely understand your desire to share the tour with others. However, they were staying in Oia, while you were in Akrotiri — two areas located approximately one hour apart by car. Attempting to combine the groups would have required either you or them to spend about an hour in transit, something we believe would cause unnecessary inconvenience and detract from the quality of the wine-touring experience we aim to provide. Additionally, even though we are in a peak season period, we were willing to offer you the option of rescheduling your tour for the following day, so that you could potentially join a group with more participants. However, we understand that this was not possible due to your travel schedule and planned departure from the island. We are truly sorry that the experience did not fully meet your expectations, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again on one of our future tours. All three wine stops were great and the dinner at the second stop was very tasty. Additionally, although I had low expectations, the ending sunset was amazing and ended up being the highlight of the tour. There are a lot of Santorini Wine tours, but I think this one is hard to beat. One note though, the dinner occurs at the second stop, so you won't actually be eating dinner while the sunset is happening (you'll be drinking wine while being under a blanket though).

We had such a great time Nikolas our guide was very informative and really knew his wine. We visited 3 vineyards and sampled several local wines. We also had a 5 course meal at the second stop. It was a great meal. At the last stop we had the opportunity to watch the sunset from high on a mountain. Picture perfect.

Amazing. Nicholas was an incredible guide and wine expert who showed us a wonderful night in Santorini! First you will be pick up in a new Mercedes Van and offered water. Then begin with a winery tour that includes some of the best wines on the Island (and Greece). There is much information given but not to the point that it would bore someone who isn’t a wine aficionado. This is best enjoyed by adults or teenagers who can drink wine. The sunset at the chosen winery was incredible and our guide, Nick, took many photos for us on our device. They came out excellent. Dinner was a stellar 5 course traditional Greek meal - but make no mistake, this is not simple kebab, it is well thought out artisan level offerings. We did not leave hungry. Our guide went above and beyond in every aspect. If you are considering this tour, I strongly advise it. Overall, we spent just over 5 hours between pick up and drop off. Nick keeps a great schedule. Book the evening tasting and dinner right away!

What a fantastic experience! Our guide Raphael did a wonderful job guiding us through tastings at three phenomenal wineries. Tasting wine by a black sand beach, watching the sunset at another winery and ending up with a lovely dinner at the Artemis winery made for such a fun night. We were a tiny group of 7, and we all enjoyed each others company. It was truly a perfect evening.

From the moment our guide, Rafael, collected us from our hotel he was friendly and made an effort to help us connect with the other members of the group (for example, by highlighting that several members of the group lived very close to each other in the UK). This helped to create a great group dynamic, which - combined with the three fantastic wineries and Rafael’s local knowledge - made for an unforgettable evening. We would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys great food and wine; it is well worth the money and gives insight into a different side of Santorini.
