Wonderful Kayaking and Bioluminescence
The kayaking overall was amazing, me and my family enjoyed it a lot, the staff were super nice and entertaining everyone, even though we couldn’t see the bio luminescence on it’s own, the crew had a plan B which was to put a tarp and look at the glow on the water. Overall very good experience and I would visit again.

Great experience
It was a fun experience. The guides were really good, very patient with some friends who had no experience on a kayak.

A fabulous night in Fajardo.
What an incredible night we had. The trip to Laguna Grande was dark, but by keeping the group size small, we felt very safe, and we were so well taken care of by the amazing staff, especially Joe. He made our excursion absolutely unforgettable, from showing us how to best enjoy the bioluminescence to pointing out constellations in the sky. The main things that I took away from this experience was to 1) make your peace with the fact that you're going to get wet from the waist down, and 2) don't be afraid to ask questions. While the guides are young, they're local, and carry with them a wealth of information. Take advantage of it. I can't wait to do it again.

The Bio Bay is a must for any trip to Puerto Rico!
Had a wonderful time on the Bio Bay tour. The whole thing was so well organized from beginning to end. There is no better feeling than when your kayak finally passes through the channel and you arrive in the massive bay. It is so peaceful and serene. I could spend hours just sitting on the bay, watching the stars come to life. This was one of the most memorable moments of our entire vacation.

Fajardo
Crystal waters of Laguna Grande in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.
  • Kayak tours typically navigate through a tunnel of mangrove trees before reaching the glowing waters.

  • Swimming in this bio bay in Puerto Rico is not allowed; you can swim and snorkel in the bay at La Parguera.

  • Guides will sometimes bring a cover so that the tour group can observe the bioluminescence in complete darkness without starlight.

  • You do not need Laguna Grande tickets to access the bay.
