Amazing experience!
This was an amazing experience! I was originally worried about the cold, but it is so magical you don’t even realize. They instruct you on what to wear and what to do while snorkeling beforehand. I would recommend thin layers underneath the suit. We did not get wet except our hair and hands. Yianni was amazing and we cannot recommend him enough!!

Snorkeling
I went in August & I totally forgot to write a review. It was so cool, and seeing the tectonic plates looked fake! It does get cold on your face & hands, so if you hate being cold i wouldn’t recommend. But for all the adventurous people out there it is so cool & our guide was awesome.

Excellent way to visit Thingvellir National Patk
Most bus tours will stop at this national park for about 30 minutes. You need at least 2 hours to walk around this beautiful site. Our guide was Thorir who was so kind and accommodating. My friend, my 18 year old son and I went with Thorir and absolutely enjoyed his explantation of the place. He also waited with us as we photographed our other family members snorkeling on a separate tour at the park. Would highly recommend this if you want aelaxed and enjoyable private tour!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unforgettable Silfra Fissure Dive with an Incredible Guide
We had an amazing experience scuba diving in the Silfra Fissure with Arctic Adventures Iceland, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Franceska—she was absolutely amazing.
From the very beginning, Franceska went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. She warmed up our gloves, helped us with our dry suits, and brought such genuine excitement and enthusiasm to the experience. This was our second cold-water dive, and her calm, supportive presence made all the difference.
Yes, the water was really cold—there was even snow next to the fissure—but despite that, the dive was incredibly enjoyable. We were definitely cold, but it was 100% worth it.
What truly stood out was Franceska’s genuine care for us. She always put our comfort and safety first, which made the entire experience feel personal and well-managed. Her positive energy and professionalism turned a challenging environment into an unforgettable adventure.
If you’re considering diving Silfra, I can’t recommend Arctic Adventures—and especially Franceska—enough!

A once in a lifetime experience explore the world
To see some of the ‘freshest’ crust on the planet in a beautiful watery environment, what a privilege. The pre-dive nerves were put at peace when we were introduced to our dive master - Nail. Every single thing was explained and help was given at every step. The preamble regarding safety was clear and again, alleviated any anxiety. Once in the 3 degree water, honestly not that cold! We were corralled through the amazing canyons of the diverging plates, and we took in the majesty of God’s creation. The short walk back to the base allowed us to exchange our shared memories of our experiences. The dry suit lived up to its name, and we quickly back in our outer winter clothes. A hot chocolate was very welcome, and we were done. Thanks to all the staff for looking after us so well. Obrigado x in

An experience like no other...(it will be cold)
It may have been literally freezing in the water but it was worth it and they give you a warm suit to go under your dry suit. But also make sure you have a set of base layers on too. It was a truly amazing experience, one you can't do anywhere else in the world! From beginning to end the staff were great, even having hot chocolate on hand for when we got out of our suits. Huge shout out to Nail who was our guide; she was amazing at talking to our son who had a little wobble. A few calm words from her he was in the water and was so happy that he did it; his highlight of our trip.

Great experience just EAT BEFORE YOU GO
MAKE SURE YOU EAT BEFORE YOU GO!!!! My 3 girls (13,14,17) all got sick after exiting the frigid water. They passed out, blood sugar dropped and they were out of it for a good hour before coming around. We hadn’t eaten enough before although I don’t know exactly how much food would have helped but we were told it would have helped somewhat.
Our tour guide was great, everyone helped us out and the experience was very cool, would have been great if the cold different affect the kids as much as it did.

You get long enough time...
You get long enough time to float in the water. Your body doesn’t get wet but your face and hands do. The water was super clear and we all drank some.

Great experience snorkeling the Continental Divide!
We were so exited for this experience and loved that we snorkeled this Continental Divide. Carol was great, just 5 people in our group. Would highly recommend!

The cold water is...
The cold water is challenging for your face and hands- but it was a fun adventure. Each group was limited to six people, but even still, it was sometimes difficult to understand guides directives.

Floating between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates
Snorkeling in Iceland's Silfra Fissure is a highly recommended, unique "once in a lifetime" experience to swim between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. The water is incredibly clear, and one degree C - glacial water, which was manageable with the provided drysuits. We enjoyed the breathtaking underwater landscape rather than marine life. Tour was made accompanied by knowledgeable guides, quality drysuits, and a post-snorkel hot drink to warm up.
