Saga Museum Tours and Tickets

The Saga Museum features immersive exhibits using life-sized wax figures to depict moments in Iceland's history, from the arrival of the Vikings to the present day. It also has costumes to try on and an audio tour. The audio tour includes some references to Iceland's violent past, so it's best suited for older kids and adults.

Tickets to the Saga Museum are 4,000 kronur for adults, 3,400 kronur for students and seniors, and 1,200 kronur for children. Family tickets for two adults and two children are 8000 kronur. Discounts are available with the Reykjavik City Pass. Tickets include access to the audio guide that's available in a variety of languages.

The Saga Museum is open daily from 10am to 5pm. Hours may vary on public holidays; if that might impact your trip, check the museum’s website ahead of visiting. Arriving early or late in the day can typically offer the best (least crowded) experience.
