Kuranda trip was great!
Great trip but maybe a bit much time in Kuranda since we snacked and didn’t sit down to a lunch. We went to the butterfly sanctuary and bird world and enjoyed both. Didn’t do the koala attraction because we had done Featherdale. Up on the cableway in the morning and down on the train in the afternoon on the gold coach where we got unlimited beverages and 3 rounds of snacks and a lot of staff attention.

Fun full day tour
This was such a lovely tour! A full day excursion that included Skyview Gondola and Scenic Railway. We really enjoyed the entire day. Chris our tour guide was so knowledgeable and we loved all his banter. He definetly went the extra mile and bosun (dog) was such a good second in command.

Highly recommend; especially if you like hiking in the woods/rainforest
Great day with lots of different activities! Really enjoyed our guide, Rob. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and had a wicked sense of humor. He kept us on track with all the different stops so we had enough time at each one.
I especially enjoyed the hike through the Daintree Rainforest & learning about all the amazing flora.

Amazing outer barrier reef trip
We loved this trip. We went to 3 different locations at Opal reef, where we had up to an hour’s snorkelling at each location. Saw some lovely fish and coral, and I particularly enjoyed the guided (middle) snorkel, where the guide pointed some fish & coral out, and gave some facts. After each snorkel stop there was a rest with light snack/drink (morning & afternoon), and at lunchtime drinks, fruit and a roll with choice of meats/veggie fillings. Due to my high blood pressure I was concerned I may not be able to snorkel for long if too much effort was involved, but they instructed me to use a life jacket for my snorkels, which worked perfectly. They also recommended all snorkellers used pool noodles as 3 lots of hour long snorkels would be pretty tiring otherwise. Most people used the noodles. On the way back, they stopped by the low isles for photo opportunities and some info, and we were lucky enough to see a small species of shark (black tipped maybe?). There’s also a photographer onboard so you can buy a photo of you snorkelling. We had an amazing day, the boat had plenty of seating inside and out, and the team were great I would definitely recommend this Calypso outer barrier reef trip.

Was one of the first...
Was one of the first people on the modified itinerary (ferry had been destroyed in the storm). Overall, it was a great tour! Patrick, the driver/guide had terrific energy and passion for the region (including a deep passion for birding). We got to explore the amazing rainforest, swim in the gorge, check out a lot of spiders, and then spend some time at Port Douglas and the beach.

Great fun experience
Had a great time flowing down the river tubing. We were lucky on the day as the river was quite high and therefore didn’t have to padel as much. The rapids sections were a lot of fun and not too scary as it’s mixed in with peaceful sections drifting through the rainforest. The guides explained the safety features well and kept the group controlled and a snack was provided after.

Great reef experience for all
Great for swimmers and non-swimmers. Submersible had good views of reef and good commentary. Snorkeling was within a corded off area. Watclaws. very nice temperature for snorkeling with some spectacular coral and fish viewing, including some colorful giant clams.

Fabulous!!
Amazing snorkeling in 3 different locations with no other tour groups or boats. We lucked out with the weather being that it was January so it was a perfect day. Equipment was good quality for a tour company, stinger suits good too. Plenty of food provided with snacks and buffet which is great after lots of swimming. Staff were great and super helpful and friendly. Would recommend to anyone and do it again if I’m ever heading back to the GBR.

Amazing!
The rainforest and the cape are beautiful and fascinating! Our guide Daniel’s stories and humour throughout the trip truly made our day. Lots of specialized knowledge on plants, animals, history, geography, anthology, ornithology, oceanography, botany, everything that ends in a Y! Highly recommend this tour!!

Half Day at Hartley’s
Great day at Hartleys. 4 hours was more than enough for adults. Kids probably need the whole day to take in all the presentations. The koalas slept and the kangaroos were so cute. We loved that they were not caged and you could pet them. Our driver was great….. offered lots of sightseeing on the way and kept us safe. Definitely worth it!

Thank you Andrea!
We had an amazing day exploring Mossman Gorge, the Daintree River, the Daintree Rainforest, lunch at Heritage Lodge, swimming in Cooper Creek, Cape Tribulation, the Daintree Ice Cream Company and Mount Alexandra Lookout. Our guide Andrea was a huge part of what made the experience so good.
He was incredibly friendly, easygoing and genuinely knowledgeable about the rainforest. He explained the plants, animals and ecosystem in a way that was interesting and stuck with you, and he pointed out details I never would have noticed on my own. You can tell he loves the Daintree and loves what he does, and that made the whole day feel fun and relaxed.
I also appreciated that both the restaurant and the ice cream stop offered vegetarian and even vegan options, which made the day feel thoughtful and inclusive.
Swimming in Cooper Creek, walking through the rainforest and seeing Cape Tribulation were all unforgettable, but having Andrea as our guide really took it to the next level. I’d recommend him to anyone visiting the area.
