Tony's Tropical Tours offer two departure times from Port Douglas only. The 7.15am departure from Port Douglas and the 8.15am departure from Port Douglas. Both departure times offer the same itinerary. A pick up time will be confirmed when the booking is made and accepted. If you prefer a certain departure time, contact us to see if it is available. We do not provide transfers to and from Cairns or the Northern Beaches of Cairns, Thala Beach Nature Reserve or Silky Oaks Lodge. Guests must make their own way to Port Douglas and allow sufficient time for travel to meeting point. Once your booking is completed please check your messages for pickup time and details and other information which will assist in making your day more enjoyable.

I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. It is a full-on day packed with so much to see! A great starting point for a visit up north. Every part was amazing- the beauty of Mossman Gorge, the entertainment on the crocodile boat, a couple of short hikes through gorgeous rainforest and swimming in a crystal clear watering hole, just to name the highlights. It honestly could not have been any better. I'll be recommending this tour to all my friends and family. Sublime!

The whole day was interesting, informative, breaks well thought out, rest room breaks thoughtful, Randall was an excellent host, kept us informed about the many aspects to the trip, funny and professional all the way. Cared for us and waited for stragglers in good humour. He made a long day pass quickly with his anecdotes and stories and were well informed on the flora and fauna along the trip.

This was a small tour of 8 people with local pickup of 8 people. Rob our tour guide was fantastic and knowledgeable, a local to the area who has been doing these tours for over 20 years . We started in mossman national park, then morning tea at a place to take a boat ride on the daintree river looking for crocs. This is a one way tour and rob crosses the river on the ferry while we were searching for crocs. (We found a few). Then only the daintree national forest for a tour in a private reserve. Lunch at a cute place you would never find in your own. Swimming in a clear running stream if you want…too cold. Then to cape tribulation and ice cream on the way home. Lovely day.

We had a very good experience. Our tour guide Ash was very informative and covered the entire schedule on time. He was very well organised. The food served for lunch was also good and sumptuous. We would recommend this trip to anyone who wish to have a real time rain-forest experience.

This was a great way to see the daintree rainforest. Ash our tour guide was honest, engaging, informative and interesting to listen to, kept the group moving at a nice pace, knew how to avoid the crowds, and really tried his best to give everyone a great experience. He was honest about the fact that there was no guarantee to see wildlife as this is not a zoo but he also did his absolute best to try to find the wildlife and we did. Ash was the best. As he repeatedly said no guarantees but b he sure did his best. Even without the wildlife Sitings he gave lots of interesting information.

Great day with lots of different activities! Really enjoyed our guide, Rob. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and had a wicked sense of humor. He kept us on track with all the different stops so we had enough time at each one.
I especially enjoyed the hike through the Daintree Rainforest & learning about all the amazing flora.

What a fun excursion with Rob! I didn’t know what to expect but we experienced a lot and really got a great feel for the nature and animals living around here. Saw a venomous snake, a crocodile, a lizard, big spider and lots of birds and fauna. So so cool!

We were unlucky as half of the trip canceled due to an unfortunate cancellation of river crossing. Our guide Rob was very friendly and knowledgeable. Probably with a better weather we would have a better experience.

Even with challenging weather, this tour turned out to be a fantastic experience. Due to heavy rainfall, part of the itinerary had to be cancelled—but the operator handled it exceptionally well. They offered a full refund or the option to continue with a half-day tour at 50%, which we really appreciated. We chose the half-day, and it was absolutely worth it. We still had the chance to walk through the rainforest, take in the incredible scenery, and even spot crocodiles—an unexpected highlight! Our guide, Grant, made the day. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to making sure everyone still had a great experience despite the change in plans. His attitude and effort really stood out and made the tour memorable. While the weather was out of anyone’s control, the professionalism, flexibility, and overall experience were excellent. I would absolutely recommend this tour company and would gladly book with them again.

This tour was truly perfect. We wouldn’t change a thing. You hit all the high points of the rainforest; some of our favorite moments included spotting a massive crocodile on our river cruise, seeing a cassowary and his baby right beside our van, and eating the most amazing homemade ice cream. Our guide, Adam, was extremely knowledgeable and interesting and pulled the whole experience together. Thank you so much for a great day!

Such a great day! Perfect for all ages. We saw so many parts to the rainforest and Ash was extremely knowledgeable. Loved that each stop was only 20 min or so apart which made the day move along quickly without feeling like you were in the car all day. Must do if you are in the area.

Amazing things to see and learn about, a world that not many see up close. Our guide did a great job helping us find beautiful scenic spots and shy little forest creatures. Very enjoyable, especially seeing the cassowary and his baby. Fabulous ice cream in a rainforest, unbelievable, but yes. A moderate amount of walking, so worth it! The Daintree ruined my hairdo, but I loved it

Excellent Tour lead by our guide, Ash, who was not only very knowledgeable but a lot of fun. Lots of variety on the tour including visits to 2 parts of the rain forest, a river boat trip with croc spotting, lunch in the forest at a very nice restaurant and and even a great swim. Highly recommended!

An excellent tour, and Cam was a fantastic guide. Has everything you need to cover a day tour, walks, boat trips, scenic driving, and seeing plenty (crocs, snakes, spiders - all from a distance!) of wildlife. Small group which rices enough time to ask questions. Would not hesitate to recommend the trip, and hopefully you also land with Cam as your guide!

The tour was very well organised, and the team provided a great deal of interesting information while guiding us through each stop. Unfortunately, the weather turned bad and the tour had to finish earlier than planned, but the team handled the situation professionally and made sure all our concerns were addressed. Amazing experience and Grant was a great contributor to make this trip so great. His Knowledge, experience and being very social and helpful outstanding. Rainforest walk lots of good energy and definitely conscious experience. Very tasty muffins for morning tea and average lunch. Icecream a little over advertised but ok

Whilst it is enjoyable from start to finish because of the professionalism and charisma of the guides (ours was Grant), it is not always possible to see crocodiles etc if the water levels/weather conditions are not suitable. I felt I was made fully aware that this was a risk, so only seeing 1 small croc was not a huge disappointment. I had a great day nonetheless and learnt a lot about the rainforest and the local history.

What a great day in the rainforest with our amazing guide Ash. We loved getting to see the beautiful Daintree rainforest, swimming in it and learning all about it. We got to see some crocs, a dragon, and even some cassowaries. So cool. Lunch and our tea break were delicious. Just truly a wonderful day with a knowledgeable and kind guide. Ash, you made our day. Ash is an amazing guide! He shared his deep knowledge of Daintree Rainforest, and its many flora and fauna. We saw a Cassowary, Boyd’s dragon, Crocodile, and red crabs.
