Situated between Cairns and Port Douglas, Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is an award-winning eco-park and working crocodile farm dedicated to educating visitors about local wildlife. Travel by coach to the park after pickup at your Cairns, Palm Cove, or Northern Beaches hotel.
When you arrive, enjoy several hours of free time to explore the park’s five different ecological zones at your leisure. Take a narrated boat tour through wetlands, where you might spot some of the 19 resident saltwater crocodiles lounging in the sun. Stroll along the Cassowary Walk to observe these fascinating flightless birds, and admire an array of other native species like koalas, turtles, snakes, and lizards from a series of elevated boardwalks.

Wow amazing trip seeing these Apex predators in action was unbelievable. The boat tour and the shows leave your hairs standing on end. A trip well worth doing with very knowledgeable staff all around the parking sharing valuable knowledge and information.

The crocodile boat tour was a little underwhelming. The highlight of the park was the birds of prey enclosure, the owls were so beautiful.

The experience overall was very good. The facility and grounds are well maintained, clean, and staffed well. We did not appreciate arriving and finding everything on that Sunday had a 10% surcharge due to it being Easter. Quite unprofessional, guests only found out after they had payed for the experience — in our case several weeks in advance. We arrived saw the sign — any drink, snack, food product, souvenir, or photo, had a 10% ad-on…. Really?
Yes, frustrating, but the overall experience was still good and worth the original free (not sure about the 10% surcharge, however). Good for family and any age group. Warning: the farm is not exactly clearly laid out — we missed some things that were available in spite of having a map of the “farm’s” lay out — could have been solved with a bit of education after we received tickets to go in..

The tour is well organized and straightforward . However the group is pretty big so many pick up and drop off points which takes quite long. The crocodile attack show is amazing and the priority cruise is a great experience.

The park is not big, so you will have enough time to visit the park in between shows, even if ypu're there for just an afternoon.

Great day at Hartleys. 4 hours was more than enough for adults. Kids probably need the whole day to take in all the presentations. The koalas slept and the kangaroos were so cute. We loved that they were not caged and you could pet them. Our driver was great….. offered lots of sightseeing on the way and kept us safe. Definitely worth it!

In the afternoon 1 hour top would be enough. For us it was better boring.
If you don't arrive in the morning, you miss many of the scheduled programs start hourly.

The activity claimed to start at 11:45 but actually, we only arrived at Harley's around 13:15. The departure time is 16:45 which left us not much time exploring the park after the boat ride and croc attack show. It would be good if pick up can start earlier.

If you want to book Hartleys croc, book direct you’ll save over $200.00. Specially if you’re driving by yourself. I called Viator less than 24hours and asked them to cancel it. I was on hold with a customer care guy who tried to help I asked to speak to a supervisor and after 37mins no one was able to talk to me. They promised to call me back and still no one has called me.

Exhilarating! Loved this experience from start (chatting on the phone with the lovely Claire whom helped me find the pick up location) to the awesome drive with Marshall whom got us there safely, followed by an extraordinary experience with the crocs and other animals (loved seeing the koalas!)
You’re essentially left to explore once you get to hartleys which I valued as a solo traveller and being able to do everything at my own pace. The staff at harteys were also amazing, handling the crocs so wonderfully and with great charm … special thanks to the ladies whom helped me when I was struggling with phone reception!

We had an amazing time at Hartley’s today! So much fun. The animal experiences were out of this world, from having lunch on the deck with crocs swimming past in the lake, to the boat ride where we saw some big crocs up close, and getting to hold a big python was an awesome experience for our kids too. The staff were all wonderful, very friendly, passionate and knowledgeable about their jobs. Would highly recommend to any families with kids especially. The bus transfers were smooth and comfortable.

Excursion was terrific but after swapping this excursion with another 4 days before I left I was disappointed that the company in Cairns knew nothing about the swap of 2 excursions those being Hartley's Crocodile Adventures and the Kuranda Train Trip. They had to ring me to say they were waiting at the bus for us. Crocodiles didn't disappoint.

This was a really cool experience, the boat ride was really fun and the guide was very funny and knowledgeable. The park itself was really lovely with lots of animals to see. The croc feeding show was very interesting and the keeper doing the demonstration was very comical and kept everyone laughing. Kids had a really enjoyable time! Wear insect repellent!

A wonderful day out, with so much to see and do and enjoy for every member of the family. We loved seeing all the wildlife and were amazed at the huge crocodiles and the crocodile show was wonderful to see. We loved feeding the Cassowary birds and learning about these birds. The boat ride on the lagoon was very enjoyable and there are so many crocs to see as well as all the other exhibits. We will going back to Cairns in the future and will redo this amazing day on our next trip. So much still to see and do and experience.

The tour was not fulfilled at all. Meggan, our drived, forced us to leave too early !
We were not able to complete the tour program, since we could not assist to the last tour program; this means the Koala Talk scheduled at 04.30 pm.
Meggan forced us to be at the bus at 04.30 pm in order to depart back to Cairns at 16.45 pm, arguing that we might find a lot of traffic back..... This was absolutely not true, of course. !!
Since we paid for the whole tour we are entitled to carry out it as a whole !! We missed the last part, which was extremely interesting for people living abroad !!
I don't agree with this personal driver decision ! The company must review the timing !
