What are people saying about Port Douglas

Great activity for everyone!
The boat out to the low isles is quick but very rough when it’s windy, I would suggest packing seasickness medication just in case! Then, you get on a glass bottom boat to go to the low isle! The boat is very pretty and the low isle is even better! We liked that we had the freedom to snorkel on our own or join a tour on land or water! It was flexible and chill and that gave us the chance to find a sea turtle! I would recommend this to anyone but still also do an outer reef booking as well because they are very different!

Just do it!
This was a great day trip. I liked that we stopped at 3 places along the reef. Each stop was different. The equipment was very nice and fit well. The staff was really nice and very helpful. The food was surprisingly good. Glad I had dry clothes to change into at the end of the day!

Overall this experience...
Overall this experience was incredible, we did the helicopter ride and the underwater helmet experience at an added cost which we felt made us rushed and we weren't able to go on the glass bottomed boat with the marine biologist. Whilst on the boat on the way to the pontoon we felt the safety briefing for snorkelling which was given live was not audible from downstairs and could have been clearer. If we had known that this briefing was going to happen upstairs we would've moved as we had previously moved upstairs for the marine biologist talk. It was not clearly conveyed that the hot drinks would only be served before departure on the way to and from the pontoon. There were plenty of cold options and seafood however there was a limited range of hot options especially as we do not eat beef or pork and one of the 2 only available hot options was beef. It was really helpful that we could keep our plates of food saved for after our activities as it meant that we were less rushed and didn't risk feeling sick before swimming. On the journey back, the water was extremely choppy and caused motion sickness.

Today was a small group...
Today was a small group of 10, and our guide—who also acted as the driver—kept introducing the history of Douglas and the Daintree Rainforest along the way. At each stop, we were given time to explore on our own. I accidentally left two pairs of sunglasses at the lunch spot, and the guide kindly arranged for someone to bring them to the next stop and hand them to me. I thought I would lose those two pairs of glasses, since the tour didn’t double back.
