Denise was a wonderful guide! She took us through all the highlights of the Montmartre area in Paris. She was funny and informative. The neighborhoods are beautiful, and you learn about the famous artists who lived and worked there. So glad we took this tour!

This was the Paris we were wanting to see. Our guide Camila was wonderful. She made the walk easy and informative. Plus she knew all the back ways around so you didn't have to walk up all the steps!. Montmartre is a must see for anyone visiting Paris. It's a quiet, peaceful neighborhood that's away from the rat race of the majority of Paris. Go there, you won't be disappointed.

Montmartre tour
This is a tour and a very busy area of Montmartre. There were 13 people in our group we thought that was at least 3 too many. As a result, it was difficult to hear the tour guide and to follow her on the trip. We found that we backtracked a number of times to see various things on the way up to the Basilica. As a result, it made the challenging climb even more difficult. Not for the faint of heart.

A good overview of Montmartre
A lovely walking tour that gives you a few highlights of Montmartre. Natalia was a great guide, knowledgeable and loud. My only hesitation was that we went to some very touristy spots and it felt hectic. More history of the area would be interesting. She did a great job leading us to Sacré Coeur via streets rather than just up the stairs.

Basilica of Sacre Coeur (Sacred Heart) on Montmartre Hill, Paris, France.
  • Montmartre is a popular part of Paris, so be prepared for crowds in the busy summer season.

  • The neighborhood is a must-see for art history buffs and those looking for postcard views.

  • Wear comfortable walking shoes for the many stairs and cobbled streets.

  • Montmartre is not easily accessible for wheelchair users, thanks to raised curbs and cobblestone sidewalks.

  • If you’re interested in art or gardens, allow for time to visit the Musée de Montmartre.

  • Watch out for pickpockets, and don’t let the people walking around and selling things illegally distract you.
