Perfect NYC Overview – Informative, Easy, and Highly Enjoyable
John Bow was an excellent tour guide—informative, engaging, and clearly passionate about what he does. The tour was very well structured, covering all the major NYC sights while still being easy and comfortable to walk. A real highlight was the Staten Island ferry cruise, which offered amazing views and was a great addition to the experience. Overall, a fantastic way to see the city in a day. I would 100% recommend this tour!

The New York Way
We got the New York experience, loud and fast, which was great because it was a perfect way to get immersed into their culture and understand life from their perspective. Our tour guide was AWESOME! She was super knowledgeable and provided us with a plethora of facts at each location. It’s clear to me that she cares a lot about her position as a tour guide and she was intent on giving us the best and most enlightening experience possible. My best friend and I learned so much about each location and the surrounding area, it was perfect! It was also a great way to create a game-plan for other places to explore post-tour! Highly recommend!

Best NY Tour Guide for First Time in NY
Jim was an absolutely outstanding tour guide, and I cannot recommend his tour enough. From the very beginning, his energy was upbeat, welcoming, and contagious, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. What really stood out most was how incredibly knowledgeable and detailed he was throughout the entire tour. He did not just give basic facts—he brought New York’s history to life with so much depth, context, and interesting detail that it kept everyone fully engaged the whole time. Jim clearly has a real passion for what he does, and it shows in the way he explains everything. He covered so many different aspects of New York history and shared details that made each stop feel meaningful and memorable. He made the tour very interactive and fun, and he had a great way of keeping everyone interested from start to finish. Even with so much history and information, it never felt overwhelming or boring because of how well he presented everything. Time honestly flew by. What was supposed to be a 6-hour tour ended up being about 7.5 hours, and I truly did not mind at all. That says a lot about how great the experience was, because it never felt long—it just felt like we were getting even more value out of the day. Every extra minute felt worth it because Jim kept the tour informative, engaging, and enjoyable the entire time. One thing future guests should know is that this is definitely a walking tour, so be prepared to be on your feet for most of the 6–7 hours. There are breaks for restrooms and chances to rest your feet here and there, but generally the only time you will really be sitting is during lunch and on the ferry toward the end of the tour. It is absolutely worth it, but comfortable shoes are a must. Overall, I would gladly take another tour with Jim if I ever get the chance. His positive attitude, attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm made this one of the best tour experiences I have had. He went above and beyond to make sure the tour was not only informative, but also fun, memorable, and well worth the time. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn about New York from someone who truly knows and loves its history.

Everything you could ask for
What a wonderful, wonderful experience. Being a part of "Dale's KOOL KATS" was definitely a highlight of my trip! Dale was our tour guide, and what a wonderful gentleman he is. Full of knowledge and hilarious jokes! The tour itself was amazing. We had what felt like a full days worth of activities. We hit 4 different points on our tour & each point was amazing. I will suggest to bring a change of shoes/socks, but don't change until AFTER you do the Cave of the Winds. I actually didn't know what that attraction was. I thought water was done after the Maid of the Mist ride & also since Cave of the Winds was the last attraction. Be prepared to get soaked lol. It didn't really matter to me because it was breathtaking & so much fun! In total, I give this tour an A+. They did a great job communicating details via email & phone. The pick up locations were clear & easy to find if you don't have a hotel pickup option. The tour was very organized, and the bus accomodation was very clean and comfortable. So glad I chose to go with this tour!
