Top New York Bus Tours

We took this tour the second day of our NY trip. It was perfect since we wanted to see the different boroughs in NY but being from California, we thought it would be too stressful for us to figure out how to get around. It was the best decision to be led by an expert and knowledgeable New Yorker! Positives: - Tour guide Jorge and driver Julian. Wow! I felt like a student in a New York History class. Jorge was so knowledgeable and engaging, and loved his sense of humor and sharing personal stories of his own! Julian was a champ navigating the highways and streets - I’ve heard about the challenges of driving the streets of NY…but in a big tour bus? Skills!!! - Bus was comfortable and it happened to be in the 90s that day so the air flow inside the bus made the tour comfortable. We went on a Thursday and the bus wasn’t completely full, and my two daughters sat together so it was comfortable to have an empty seat next to me. - Communication was great the entire time leading up to and during the tour. I like over-communication vs poor communication and I appreciated all the reminders that kept coming in on my phone/email. Jorge was very clear at each stop how much time we have to explore which isn’t a whole lot of time, but enough to stretch your legs, take photos, and enjoy the views. - If you are interested in learning about rich NY history and want to see neighborhoods outside of Manhattan/Times Square, book this tour! We stayed in Manhattan so I wanted my daughters and I to see the real boroughs away from the bright lights and tourists. It really paints the picture of how big NY is. - The tour is very balanced - it touches on art, music, sports, diversity of people, and food. We visited a bodega in the Bronx and had a delicious beef empanada! Opportunities (for consideration only - this tour was still five stars in my book): - More time at some of the stops. Traffic must have been heavier than usual based on Jorge’s comments about parking. So some of our stops were really quick like DUMBO. I wish we were able to get out and take a photo in front of the Apollo theater but we just stayed on the bus while Jorge talked about the history. There is construction happening at the Apollo which was communicated ahead of time, but I was under the impression that we could still take photos outside of the theater. - Maybe add more food sampling for example, a Jamaican Beef Patty from Queens. - Maybe mention more rappers/musicians like Notorious BIG (Brooklyn) or A Tribe Called Quest (they have a mural in Queens). Or talk about street artists who were famous for their start in NY like KAWS or Keith Haring. Those two artists are huge brands today. - Maybe mention fashion designers like Ralph Lauren who I believe was born and raised in the Bronx. Overall, I loved this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting NY. Thank you Jorge and Julian for a wonderful experience and getting us around safely.

This was a very informative boat cruise. The guide Alexis was extremely knowledgeable and sang a few tunes for us. She kept going around the boat and asking if anyone had questions. My husband and I learned a lot even though we’ve been to NYC many times!!!!

A great way to experience the amazing sites at Niagara Falls! The entire tour from start to finish was organized and provided a great experience. Our tour guide was Pat R & he was the best! I’d highly recommend booking this tour to see & do Niagara & the surrounding wonders in 1 day.

Great 4 hour trip only scratching the surface of NYC but would deffo recommend to first time visitors to NYC. My wife and I was on our first trip and would recommend to anyone who wants a whistle stop tour of key locations in NYC. Jared our tour guide was a great host and his knowledge of his city was amazing!

Super fun and very different way to see New York far more exciting than the slow boats the driver and the second crew person were fantastic. They played amazing music really got everybody in the mood and we’re just super fun and gracious about taking pictures. I just wish the tour was longer.

Dress appropriate for the weather. We were fortunate enough to get to set on top (not everyone gets to sit on the top even though that’s what the name implies) and it was cold and windy. The tour itself was great, the company provides earbuds for you to listen to commentary if you prefer. If seated downstairs, there are huge windows to see out of, but the reflection will make photos hard to get.

Our tour guide was Nancy and she was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, friendly and ready to answer our question. She seemed to love her job. The tour included Maid of the Mist. (In itself is unbelievable), and stops throughout American and Canadian falls at many of the park with special views from the area. If we go back would really like the tour guide to be Nancy!

My fiancé and I went out to dinner, went on a boat tour to see the falls lit up at night, got to see fireworks from the boat, and we were able to change the color of the falls, which was by far the best part of the trip! We highly recommend this tour, Oscar was an amazing tour guide. We had an incredible time and look forward to the next time we visit the area.
