An excellent trip
I experienced an excellent trip thanks to Buddhi, the guide and Capt. Irwan the chopper pilot. They were both polite, informative and extremely helpful. I would recommend this excursion 100%

Amazing worth the money. The guide was fantastic the day before he stopped by and gave me a briefing on the tour. The day of the tour the guide was at my hotel on time. I didn't have to do a thing thank you for the amazing tour

Amazing experience!
It was a great experience and the scenery and the journey were well worth it. Bishnu was always on top of everything and always tried to make sure everything turned out perfect. My guide Basu was amazing as he always had the best disposition for everything and also helped me a lot with the photos since I was traveling alone. I am very grateful to the entire company for making my trip unforgettable.

Incredible journey, incredible guide and company
The trip started with an Act of God monsoon that destroyed roads and stranded hundreds for days. Not only did Outfitter work through the problems openly and honestly, they more than made up for lost time with a wonderful experience. My guide Kiran was by far the best guide I've gotten to travel with. He always made sure that I was comfortable, confident, and dazzled by the wonders of Nepal and the Himalayas. I couldn't recommend the experience more.

Great trip and great communication…a must do
Fantastic experience, and very well planned. Their team met with me two days before to explain the entire trip and to go over safety issues. It is one of those day trips that you shouldn’t miss.

Amazing Everest adventure
What an unforgettable experience!!! Memories that will definitely last a lifetime!!! I can't put in words how breath taking (literally and figuratively) the view of Sagarthama/Chomolungma/Mt Everest was up close at Kala Patthar. Very thankful to Mr Buddhi (tour operator) for making this trip happen, to our pilot Mr Niranjan (our pilot) for making the flight smooth flying and safe, and Mr Paras (our tour guide) for this fun and amazing trip. I can't say enough how to thank you guys. This is extremely highly recommended, especially if you don't have time and have some physical limitations in doing a Mt Everest trip. I have motion sickness and back problems but this trip did not give me any problems at all. Will be back with my kids and family soon for sure. This was one of my birthday gifts to my wife, we got the private tour, and every single penny is worth it... and more!!! For you who are still on the fence, I really recommend you should try this... you won't get disappointed.

As close as you get without climbing the mountain
This experience is approx 3 hours but flight time is about an hour. 35 minutes to and from the mountain. Half the remaining time is for viewing the mountains, one side of plane sees and then plane circles around for the other side to see. So actual viewing time is about 15 minutes. Driver pick up at hotel was on time and flight was very smooth. Given a fold out of the names of the different mountains and flight attendant pointing out mountain names as we went pass them. Received certificate that completed the flight and saw Mt Everest, nice touch. Got confirmation of pick up and flight information via email the night before.

Breathtaking
Not being climbers, this was amazing to get as close as you can get in the air to view Everest, just awesome. Safety was a priority, our pilot was very professional. Our first departure was cancelled due to weather, but were able to be scheduled for the next day. So glad we had the opportunity to do this experience. Butti, our guide was just amazing, organised, maintained contact, responsive, and informative, his service was outstanding. Thank you.

The perfect view
What a lovely experience! Kalapatthar weather was perfect for a clear view of Mt. Everest. Couldn't go to the cafe for safety reason as the weather became cloudy soon after. Took a short trip to Lukla village instead.

Good service
Excellent service. Weather is hit-and-miss during this season, still the safety is taken very seriously. Highly recommend trip.

When to visit

Despite what some movies might lead you to believe, Everest is not visible from Kathmandu.
Whatever your plans on or near Mt. Everest, you should be aware of the risks and signs of altitude sickness. The starting point for the trek on the Nepal side, Lukla, has an altitude of 9,383 feet (2,860 meters), and Everest Base Camp is 17,600 feet (5,380 meters) above sea level.
It’s always a good idea to trek with a guide in Nepal, and the use of a guide is mandatory in Tibet. Guides will help you stay safe and will also take care of logistics.
