The Treetop walk is a new and truly unique way to take in scenic views from above the trees. You will start the walk along a path that winds through the forest and up to the treetops. The nearly one-kilometre path leads to the observation tower that rises 40 m (equivalent to a 12-storey building) above the forest to offer a stunning bird’s eye view of the Laurentian forests and mountains. The walk ways and main tower, with a maximum slope of 6 degrees, are completely accessible to strollers and wheelchairs. From the top, you’ll have a breathtaking view of the rolling hills typical of the Laurentian mountain range, and landmarks such as Mont-Tremblant. The total distance including the tower walk is 2.7 km round trip and takes about 1 to 2 hours. Wonderful tour! Debbie told us about the history but more importantly tied the history into present day Montreal. The pace was good, shady spots and places to sit were found at most stops, and she answered questions well. Two hours was a good amount of time for the tour. We learned of other options to explore if we wanted to learn more or experience more of present day Montreal. We took the tour on our second to the last day in town and that was nice as we had seen a lot and had questions. Taking the tour early on would be a nice intro to the city as well.

Exceptionally informative. We did this tour on our first day in Montreal and was a great inspiration for the rest of our stay, with plenty of ideas of where to visit. Girls Trip - Fun way to explore Montreal!

History and Humor (but not cheesey)

Darren was awesome!!!! Perfect mix of history and humor. I especially enjoyed hearing about the modern day social climate of Montreal. We did regular bikes and it was a super easy ride. Also I never take the time to write reviews but Darren and the entire crew at Fitz Montreal Bike tours deserve it! We didn’t want to say goodbye.

Well worth going on

It is an excellent trip for the price. Big comfortable bus and a great guide. Wear layers and comfortable shoes. Walk to the bottom of the falls AND take the cable car you have time for both. Take the boat cruise too, good way to sit and seat the sites. I went solo and all those that went solo seemed to gravitate towards each other.

Great time on the food tour

Our guide Eric was very knowledgeable of the area and knew the best local places to eat. We had spanakopita, bagels and cream cheese, Korean ice cream, meat sandwiches, poutine, and gnocchi with spicy sauce. Everything was delicious and authentic. I would recommend this tour and guide to anyone.

Wonderful day.

It was wonderful. Our tour guide William was great and spoke to ALL of the people on the bus in their respective language including English, French and Spanish. We did the cruise which I’m not sure we would do again as it cut into our city touring - but we enjoyed that too. If you’re not a walker this trip might not be for you. We saw a lot of older folks struggling a bit. Lots of cobblestones and hills. But it was BEAUTIFUL. It was a long day but so worth it.

Yes you will get soaked....

Yes you will get soaked. But my family including my 9yr old daughter just loved it. They have lockers and will give you sweatshirts to wear as it will get cold coming back. Very hospitable people, our guide Nico was funny and full of jokes. Packing warmer clothes to change into for after your adventure helps. Definitely recommend :)
