The Bagel Class studio is on the 2nd floor of the Cadbury Lofts building. The Studio number is #221a and during the weekend, you will need to BUZZ #221 or The Bagel Class to enter the building. There are two sets of stairs to the studio which makes this workshop not wheelchair accessible.

What To Expect

This Montrel baking-making workshop experience is an intimate one you won’t soon forget. Meet in the designated meeting location in the city—your guide takes you up to their home for your class. Plus, this experience is limited to just 10 travelers for a fun, special time.

Once inside the home, your guide gets you set up at a station at the main table so you can get hands on while learning how to make delicious bagels. Some basics you walk away knowing are how to knead the bagel dough, how to use your favorite seasonings for your bagels, and what’s the difference between flour varieties.

After your bagels bake, enjoy the fruits of your labor as you taste your bagels.

This Montreal cooking class ends back at the meeting location with the rest of your day free to spend as you like.

I had so much at this class! I met really awesome people and the host was fantastic. He kept us engaged throughout the whole experience, and made sure we all got comfortable with each other. It is a very hands-on experience, and I appreciated learning about what makes Montreal bagels so unique. As a NYC native, it was especially great to banter about which city's bagel is the best! The bagels were warm and delicious; and it was great that we made extra to take home as well. I wanted to try a cooking class in another city, and this class exceeded my expectations. I absolutely recommend it!

It was a very fun experience for kids tweenish and up as well as adults. the group we were with included some solo travelers who seemed to be enjoying themselves too Parking around the venue seems a little limited in both spaces and timed parking so ubering over might be the way to go. Closest metro at Laurier was about 15 minutes away on flat ground in a well traveled area so that’s another option only water to drink so if you need more plan in advance

This was a highlight of my Montréal trip. The instructor was funny and informative. It was great opportunity for some social interaction with the other students for this solo traveler. Also, the satisfaction of eating fresh bagels that you just helped to make can’t be understated. Also, I found that this recipe made a more flavorful bagel than the ones I got from either of the twin giants of the Montreal bagel scene. Plus, you get to take a printed recipe home with you.

This was a great activity even if you aren't a cook. The instructor was so fun and made the process very easy. My adult kids joined us and we all loved the class. If you are in Montreal definitely take the time to do this class and the bagels were delicious.

Our group of three thoroughly enjoyed this 2 hour Bagel Class. Will was entertaining and an excellent teacher. Our class had about 12 people. His recipe was delicious and I thought maybe even better than the two famous Montreal bagel makers! We bought aprons and some of the magic ingredient to try to duplicate the recipe at home. We recommend this class to all who visit Montreal.
