I had a very nice afternoon spent with our lovely tour guide Youlia who knows her business in terms of Canada/Montreal history, local businesses and was able to answer to all my a other people questions.
The people in the group were really interactive and had many stories to share as expected (or not) when you do such a tour with diverse locations and cultures...
The tour was planned from 1 to 3pm and we all stayed together up to 4pm having fun.
I very much recommend this tour and Youlia as a such professional guide tour.

Louis was a great guide, and we enjoyed the tour! The food was all delicious- I genuinely liked all the things we tried and would definitely return if we were in town longer. We had a larger group, so the tour took about 3 hours instead of 2- wasn't a problem for us since our hotel wasn't ready for check-in yet anyway, but something to keep in mind to maybe not book this as part of back-to-back activities. Also, keep an eye out for an email from your tour director the day before your tour. The email from our tour director had a different meeting point listed than the online booking said.

This is a walking/eating tour of the Mile End area of Montreal. There were many stops with lots to eat. We learned about the area and the foods we tasted. It was a very cold day. Walking from place to place was fine, but many of the places did not have enough room for a large group. We ended up standing or eating outside.

Such a wonderful experience! Great way to see part of Montreal on foot. Dominique, our guide, was so engaging and knowledgeable. The food was next level-smoked brisket, fresh hot bagels, poutine, gnocchi, Greek food and cannoli! We were stuffed. Definitely a highlight of our trip!!

I went on this food tour today with Eric, and it was a fantastic experience. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and more than happy to be flexible, which made the tour feel relaxed and personal. We had a small group, which allowed us to move comfortably through the city, take our time, and even stop by a few vintage shops along the way.
The food was excellent, and it was a pleasure hearing stories about the city as we walked. The experience truly felt like a local’s tour — the kind that stands apart from larger, more mainstream tour groups. I couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough to visitors to the city… and if you’re lucky, you’ll get Eric as your guide!

Great company and excellent food, what more could you want?
Our guide, Lucas, took us on a tour of Little Italy which, despite the awful weather (rain in January?!!) was a lovely way to spend a couple of hours.
We started off with the most delicious foccacia sandwich at Roxy Foccacia, featuring home made bread and local produce. Then we walked, in the rain 😒 to Jean Talon Marche where we were treated to the most delicious maple ice cream, arancini, Romanian sausage and several other tasty choices. We ended up with pizza, cannoli and lattes at a local Cafe, San Gennaro. All the food choices were delicious.
Lucas was friendly and knowledgeable and both myself and my mum enjoyed ourselves enormously.
I would highly recommend this tour.

We had an amazing time on the Little Italy food tour, and our guide Lucas truly made the experience special. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the neighborhood’s history, culture, and of course the food. Each stop was thoughtfully chosen, and the tastings were generous and delicious, offering a great variety of classic Italian flavors.
Lucas shared interesting stories about Little Italy and its roots that added so much depth to the tour, and he made everyone feel welcome and engaged throughout. The pacing was perfect, and we never felt rushed.
This tour was a wonderful way to explore Little Italy, support local businesses, and enjoy incredible food. Highly recommend, especially if you get Lucas as your guide!

This was a great tour for a solo foodie traveler.
Lucas is a phenomenal guide and made the tour feel as if we were a group of friends catching up and exploring/eating our way through Jean-Talón market and Little Italy. The food was a great mix of sweet and savory with about 8 stops/samplings. It was enough food to feel full but not overly stuffed. The hosts at each stop were welcoming. Lucas was knowledgeable, very personable, and engaging. I would book Lucas for a private tour and am interested in the Mile End tour as well.
The stops were also a great mix of indoor and outdoor tour time on a cold winter day in December where the feels like was 1 degree F. I dressed warmly and never felt uncomfortably cold or freezing.
The stops were nice and clean as well.
10/10 would recommend and do it again.

Hi,
I’m writing to share some serious concerns about the food tour I attended on November 30th.
The most concerning issue was the guide’s handling of gratuities. She mentioned tipping to the group, which is fine, but she then lingered and stared at us, then directly asked me how much I intended to tip. When I said I planned to use the app later as I didn’t have cash, she tried to pressure me to tip immediately using her own device and an app I don’t have. After we left, she even sent me a message requesting a tip again.
This felt very pressured and inappropriate, especially since gratuities are normally voluntary and based on the quality of service.
This goes far beyond a normal reminder and felt unprofessional, uncomfortable, and entirely inappropriate. Gratuities should never involve direct pressure, repeated requests, or follow-up messages.
The tour was also significantly overbooked. The group was too large for many of the small businesses we visited, leaving several participants without space to sit or fully participate. At multiple stops, it felt like we were crowding regular patrons, which impacted the quality of the experience and often we couldn’t hear the guide due to the group size.
The guide also didn't arrive until right at 11am so it created some confusion for guests who arrived 15 minutes early as requested about if we were in the right spot, or if the tour was cancelled. We met at a deli that we went into but didn’t eat at so we all felt bad for the business owner for waiting inside but not patronizing. This didn’t feel good. To make matters worse, the guide didn’t seem knowledgeable about the foods we did eat and provided little to no history or info about what we were doing/eating.
I’m sharing this feedback because these issues had a real effect on the tour and do not reflect the standard I hoped and expected. I hope this will be addressed to ensure a better experience for future guests.

Your concern about how gratuities were handled is important. A simple reminder is normal, but the interaction you described is not how tipping should be approached on our tours. Many guests choose to tip post-tour without any issue, and that option should always be respected. We have already reviewed this with our guide to ensure it does not happen again.
You also noted that the group felt too large inside some of the small local businesses. These spots are often a highlight for guests, and it is essential that everyone has room to enjoy the tastings and hear the guide. Your feedback is being used to reinforce group management and spacing at each stop.
Regarding the meeting point, our local manager confirmed that the usual first stop informed us last minute that they could not host that day. Since guests already had the meeting details, we kept the location to avoid confusion. What was missing was clear communication from our guide about timing and instructions, and this is being addressed.
Lastly, you mentioned that the information shared during the tastings felt limited. Many guests enjoy learning about the foods and the neighborhood, so we are using your comments in training to strengthen that part of the experience.
