Top Moldova Holidays in 2026

Wine culture is such a big part of Moldova heritage. The story of Milestii Mici Winery begins in an old stone-extracting mine, where the extraction of limestone over the years inadvertently created the perfect environment for wine maturation and storage. The Mileștii Mici winery is known for having tunnels over a total length of 200km and the largest wine cellar in the world. Today, the collection exceeds 2 million bottles and can be visited at any time of the year, with a constant underground temperature between 12-14 degrees Celsius. The winery is located approximately 16 kilometers south of Chișinău, in the Ialoveni district. Embarking on a journey to Mileștii Mici Winery offers not just a taste of exceptional wines but also an immersive experience into Moldova's rich cultural and historical tapestry.

The Chișinău Wine Painting & City Tour stands out because it blends two experiences into one seamless story: discovering the capital on foot and expressing Moldova’s wine culture through art. It’s not just sightseeing — it’s seeing, tasting, and creating. It’s a one-of-a-kind cultural experience that brings together Moldova’s strongest identity: wine, creativity, and local atmosphere. During Paint Workshop and Wine Tasting, an experience awaits you where wine, art and emotion merge in a wine painting master class, guided by the local sommelier and guide. You will taste 6 carefully selected local wines, you will taste delicate snacks prepared to highlight the flavors, and the host will tell you about Moldovan wines, terroir, legends and inspiration. With the help of our artist, you can finally give free rein to your art talent! In this 2 hours workshop you will paint on canvas following the guide lines of a true Moldovan artist.
