What are people saying about Mexico City

Amazing transportation
I had an outstanding experience with my driver Carlos. He picked me up promptly at 4:30 a.m. for my hot air balloon excursion, got me there safely and efficiently, then waited nearly two hours for me before driving me back to my hotel through some of Mexico City’s busiest traffic. Throughout the entire experience, he was professional, punctual, and incredibly kind. He even took the time to recommend great local restaurants and foods to try, which made my trip even better. I always felt safe and well taken care of. I highly recommend him to anyone visiting Mexico City. Thank you for making the day so easy and enjoyable!

A Perfect Day Exploring Teotihuacan
We had an amazing experience on this private Teotihuacan tour! Our group of five was picked up at the designated meeting location right on time by our driver and guide, who were both incredibly welcoming and friendly.
Before arriving at the pyramids, we made a convenient stop for coffee and snacks. During the drive, our guide shared fascinating information about Teotihuacan and its history, making the journey just as enjoyable as the destination.
Once we arrived, our guide stayed with us the entire time, answered every question we had, and provided detailed historical and cultural insights that really brought the site to life. It felt like we learned so much more than we would have exploring on our own.
After the tour, we enjoyed a delicious authentic Mexican meal at a local restaurant. We then stopped to learn about the agave plant, where a knowledgeable young presenter demonstrated how ancient civilizations used agave for tools, clothing, rope, food, and many other everyday necessities. It was fascinating to see how such a single plant played such an important role in their daily lives. We tasted a few tequilas shots too!!
Everything was well organized, we never felt rushed, and we returned to Mexico City on time with plenty of the afternoon and evening left to enjoy. This tour was informative, enjoyable, and well worth it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable visit to Teotihuacan!

Fun time with great info about Mescal and Lucha Libre!
We had a wonderful time. Arturo was personable and knowledgeable. He gave us great insights about Mescal and about Lucha Libre. We had 3 in our group who had been on other Lucha tours and the masks we received were better quality then they had gotten in the past.

A Time Was Had
We loved every minute of our time with Gus and Louis. We arrived right on time and were quickly checked in and introduced to the office for the day, the trajinera. We were given safety protocols then set out on the canal. We played drinking games , a couple rounds of Lotteria, sang karaoke all the while taking in the beauty of the tourist area of Xochimilco. We stopped for a lunch od DIY Flautas, all the while interacting with our fellow tourists from all over the United States. Before you knew it, two hours later, we were back in the parking lot parking the boat. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend Xochi with Gus and Louis to anyone interested in seeing Xochimilco.

Authentic Food of Mexico City
We recently traveled to Mexico City and wanted to truly immerse ourselves in the history and culture of its people. What better way to do that than through a hands-on cooking experience?
We were warmly welcomed by Chef Jose, who graciously allowed us to join the class—even though we arrived about 15 minutes late thanks to Mexico City traffic (which, by the way, is not for the faint of heart!). From the start, his kindness and hospitality set the tone for an incredible experience.
Chef Jose guided us through a local market, sharing his knowledge of the region’s fresh produce, herbs, and meats. He gave us time to explore on our own, taking in the vibrant energy and offerings of the market before heading back to his home, where the class took place.
Once there, he walked us through the menu using the ingredients we helped select. He was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also patient, explaining each step from start to finish in a way that made the experience approachable and fun. We were fully involved taking turns preparing each dish and truly learning the techniques behind them.
From fresh tortillas and salsa to guacamole, vegetarian soup, tacos, and enchiladas, every dish felt authentic and full of flavor. Sitting down together to enjoy the four-course meal we helped create was the perfect ending—and it was absolutely delicious.
This is truly a must-do experience in Mexico City if you want to connect with the culture in a meaningful way. Thank you, Chef Jose, for such a memorable and rewarding experience.

A truly special tour
Our tour with George was a wonderful experience. Our small group went to the pyramids the first day it opened after the tragic shooting in April. George was respective of the circumstances, knowledgeable about the area and history, and provided us with a safe, interesting day. We had an enjoyable time doing a bit of shopping and brunch on a street nearby, a fun van ride to and from our hotel, and a perfect day. Highly recommend!

Luxury Limo MEX Airport to downtown.
We were met after customs by a sign holding person who then called the driver. The vehicle was a clean Lincoln Navigator. Everyone was courteous and professional. Bottled water was provided. We were driven to our hotel with no issues.
However, although the Viator web site was relatively easy to use to make a booking from MEX airport to the hotel, it was impossible to navigate the site to make the return booking. The site asked about our return, but there was no capability to actually make such a booking. We were only able to do so directly with the driver on the way to the hotel.
In looking at other Limo services this problem is not unique to the one we chose. Viator needs to fix this. It is not a reflection on the very good service we experienced on the day.

Raymond was an excellent...
Raymond was an excellent and very knowledgeable tour guide. I had a private tour, and he showed me the murals and pyramids I wanted to see. I also saw the local towns and learned about the culture and traditions. This tour included a 3 course meal in a very colourful and delightful restaurant. Giovani was an excellent, informative and friendly driver who was very punctual.

Wonderful, would recommend
Driver was very professional and kind to both me and my dog. He even was kind enough to find us a spot for my dog to go to the bathroom after picking us up from the airport. He helped bring my bags into the AirBnB I was staying at as well. Overall, would recommend to someone looking for a driver in Mexico City!

Discovering Avocado Lane in Coyacan.
We were the only visitors in this group today. Thanks to Angel we had an excellent walk and he proved to be very knowledgeable and was a good Spanish teacher as well. His choice for lunch was a nice little food court featuring local food - we enjoyed the local version of quesadillas and learned a lot about local food preferences. We ended our visit with a short tour through the Mercado and a slow and gentle visit to the Frida Kahlo house museum. We now know Coyocan much better and we know some little laneways and shops thanks to Angel. 5/5 for sure. Good value for the cost.

A jam-packed day!
Jorge & Guillermo were fabulous hosts! We saw a lot of places that we otherwise wouldn't have. Xochimilco was a highlight, with a private boat and some mariachi magic!
The local food recommends were absolutely delicious.
The historical knowledge shared was truly impressive.
Having a private tour gave us the flexibility to tailor to our likes, which helped us make the most of the day.
All and all, a wonderful tour!

Excellent tour
Our guide was very knowledgeable. He has a history degree and is very fluent in English and, obviously, Spanish. The tour was evenly divided between English and Spanish and the context switching was seamless.
We’ve been on a lot of tours and they all have an obligatory restaurant/gift shop stop. This tour is no different but the food and the shop were higher level.
We really enjoyed the whole experience.
