The Best Tour and the Best Guide I Had in Costa Rica
This was, without a doubt, the best experience of my entire trip to Costa Rica. I went on many tours during my visit, but Melanie was by far the best guide I had. It was a full-day tour with a very friendly group of travelers, and we were split into English- and Spanish-speaking groups. We were fortunate to have clear weather and could even see the summit of Arenal Volcano. Along the hike, Melanie pointed out many animals and shared fascinating information about the history of Arenal Volcano, including the volcanic rocks we encountered. She also regularly volunteered to take photos of wildlife through her binoculars, including bats, coatis, and sloths, which made the experience even more memorable. On the way back, we stopped at a beautiful green lake and were treated to fresh pineapple, which was a lovely surprise. The tour also included a buffet lunch before continuing to Arenal Waterfall. Melanie kindly took photos of everyone along the hanging bridge. I found the climb back from the waterfall particularly challenging because of the heavy rain, my bad knees, and the steep stairs. What happened next is something I will never forget. Melanie stayed with me the entire way back, encouraging me to take breaks whenever I needed them and reassuring me that there was no rush. She walked behind me the whole way and never left me behind. I was deeply touched by her kindness, patience, and genuine care. That simple gesture is something I will always remember. Later, we visited the Indigenous Maleku community, where we were welcomed with the traditional greeting "Kapu Kapu" and greeted members of the community by gently tapping their right shoulder. They spoke to us in both Spanish and their native language, shared their culture and traditions, welcomed us into their traditional homes, and offered us a complimentary traditional alcoholic drink. There was also an opportunity to purchase authentic handmade souvenirs. Our final stop was the hot springs, which featured several pools at different temperatures, cooler swimming pools suitable for children, as well as restaurants, bars, and ice cream shops. It was the perfect way to end an unforgettable day. Melanie was the best tour guide I met in Costa Rica. She was incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely kind, endlessly patient, and made every guest feel welcome throughout this long day. She is a real credit to the company and truly deserves a raise or bonus for the exceptional service she provides. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough.

Coffee and Chocolate Tasting Tour with Danny
Very detail oriented, lots of details about coffee and chocolate including techniques and other things as well as hands on experiences like grinding the beans on top of the tastings, they also preformed hand arounds of related objects. On this tour I learned a lot about coffee and cacao as well as the industry and more general knowledge, our tour guide was Danny and was excellent at explaining and answering questions as well as letting us see everything clearly.

So much nightlife!
We had so much fun exploring the rainforest at night! Our family of five was guided by Christopher on a 2-hour tour. We were shocked at the amount of critters we were able to see on this hike...everything from raccoons, snakes, frogs and spiders to beautiful vegetation and so much more! Chris was knowledgable, friendly, and let us set the pace of the tour. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for something adventurous and educational!

So much fun!
What a great adventure for our family! As first time zipliners, we felt super safe with the practice course and professional staff! We literally flew through the rainforest and got glimpses of sloths, toucans, and so much more! A special shoutout to Alberto for his care and understanding of working with our child with Down syndrome! He worked so well with him and helped provide an unforgettable experience for our whole family! The rest of the staff was outstanding, too! Informative, engaging, and so much fun to be around! Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica! Pura vida!
