What are people saying about Hoi An

Well worth the early start
This is a great tour. It is definitely best to go early as it is much quieter. It took us roughly 1 hour to get there . Be sure to take a hat as there is very little shade . Our guide Lint was excellent and took care of us all very well .
I would recommend this tour

Highly Recommend! Go early!
We were lucky enough to have Van as our guide and his passion and knowledge and friendliness were such a treat.
The early morning tour was best for us because the temperature was expected to reach 95 F (35 C) and the tour is entirely outdoors. We got up at 4:30am to be picked up at 5am and were touring the temples at sunrise. It was stunningly beautiful and totally empty!! By the end of our two hours, other people were filling the sites and the temperature heated up very quickly.
Breakfast is included in the tour but is not served until *after* visiting the temples and sites so make sure you eat something. We woke at 4:30am and didn't eat until around 9:00am so if you're like me, you may be shaking and starving by then.
The end of the tour included a stop at a village to see how rice noodles and rice paper is made. My 13 year old volunteered to try it and I enjoyed seeing them make these foods that I have been buying at H-Mart for years back in the U.S.
After this stop, it was a long drive to Hoi An where we got on a boat. To pass the time, Van told us the story of his life. I won't give it away in case you also have Van as your guide and are lucky enough to hear him talk but I'll just tell you that we laughed, we smiled, and we cried. He's a wonderful human being.
At the end, we all hopped on a motor boat that quietly took us to downtown Hoi An to our shuttle. You could stay and shop or you could shuttle to your hotel. Overall, we were door to door 5am to 11am.
Highly recommend everything about this tour! Take a snack and take water! We did not have any bug problems in early April so bug spray was not needed.

Great experience in Hoi An / Da Nang area
Very fun experience and you get to go home with an easy to pack decoration as a souvenir or gift. Lots of very friendly and helpful staff that can speak English made it easy to craft a beautiful lantern. The place was full of both individuals and families having a great time. Took about 1.5 hours to do the full/long lantern clasa.

Good morning tour
Very interesting day out on the morning half day tour to My Son. Our guide Dung was very friendly, informative and took care of our group. The included lunch was simple but nice. My son sanctuary area gets very hot so make sure you prepare. We had fans with us that we were grateful for. We found the half day option enough as we are not super passionate about ruins.

Most amazing day trip
Tour of the villages in Hoi an to see so many different family businesses. Get hands on experience with incense making, mat weaving and making rice paper rolls. Finish ed the day with a peaceful basket boat ride. All the experiences were awesome and the jeep just topped it off. Our tour guide was Chicky and driver Trieu were absolute legends. Cant recommend this tour highly enough

We had a great time during this tour! In a few short hours we were able to see many of the important cultural sites in and around Da Nang.
Our guide Kha was extremely knowledgable and provided us with a wealth of information. He is also extremely fun, and a great photographer too!
I’d highly recommend this tour if you are spending a day in Da Nang.

Tasty Food, Great Guide, Top Experience!
This was so much fun! A great way to taste the specialities of Hoi An while meandering the streets and alleyways. Our guide was fantastic, the food delicious and plentiful and ending with the lantern boat ride was the cherry on the top. Highly recommend this tour

We had a great day - The...
We had a great day - The tour guide Bean was inclusive in conversation with those who didn’t speak English or Vietnamese. He was knowledgeable and confident in the facts he shared throughout the day. We would come on this tour again & would definitely be guided by Bean again

Lovely Evening making Lanterns and Boat Tour!
My girlfriend Toni & I had a lovey evening making lanterns and having good fun with our teacher. She was great and made it enjoyable throughout. Giving us history of her family, the area, the culture and also showing an interest in our lives was a very nice touch. She was very helpful when we got stuck or made a mess of our lanterns and helped us make them look respectable! She gave good tips for things to do in the town and places to eat. She brought us to the boats where we had a sunset tour to send off our lanterns and was there to see us off safely when we got back. Really personal experience which was an ideal way to spend a couple of hours in Hoi An!

Genuine Cooking
Buzzing thru the food market then riding along rice paddies on a motorbike to a serene waterway sets the scene for this wonderfully authentic experience. Tam, a gifted chef is full of enthusiasm and hands on knowledge. He will make you feel comfortable and well looked after. Thank you Tam, you are a legend.

Best day ever
We had the most amazing day travelling down from Hue to Hoi An with Win Win and Monkey on the Hai Van Pass Motorbike Private Tour with Mister T Easy Rider . They were so helpful, interesting and fun , and we had such a great day. We got to see some amazing scenery and did unique activities. We visited oyster farms and a beautiful waterfall where we got to swim. Marble mountain was absolutely incredible. Best of all was spending time with Win Win and Monkey and hearing about their life in Vietnam. and having lots of laughs. Thanks Win and Monkey. it was an amazing day.

Walking street food tour
Tonight we had the wonderful opportunity to meet Catherine, who was our private tour guide with The Street Food Man. From the moment we started walking through the lively streets of Ho Chi Minh City, she made us feel like locals.
We visited five authentic local restaurants, tasting dish after dish of incredible Vietnamese food. Every bite was delicious, and although we ate far too much, it was nearly impossible to stop!
What made the evening truly memorable was Catherine herself. She entertained us with her deep knowledge of local customs, food culture, and Vietnamese life, all delivered with warmth and a great sense of humor. Walking the streets with her felt like being out with a friend who just happened to know everything about the city.
This was a fantastic experience — delicious food, great company, and insights you simply can’t get on your own. We would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh.
