A wonderful day in Hiroshima
We spent a great day with Hiroshi-San who was incredibly patient with us. He led us through less crowded streets and recommended a private room lunch for us as well. Highly recommend you leave yourselves in his good hands. Thank you for a great experience. All of us had a very enriching tour.

Personal tour - great for families
An amazing day that started at the beautiful Shukkeien gardens. Our guide met us at the Airbnb and we walked there. From there we went to the Miyajima island to view the o-torri Monument. Then we did a walking tour around the A-dome ending at the museum. Our guide Kazuko was incredible. She gave us a lot of information about all the monuments and special places and what each one meant. Walking around alone, we would have missed 80%. It was great using all public transit and walking. Just make sure to get your bags stored for the day before the tour. My 80 year old parents and my 13 and 15 year old kids loved the day as well!

Hiroshima Peace Memorial with Emi
Our guide, Emi, was excellent - a five star guide! She presented a clear, precise - yet brief enough history of Japan and why Hiroshima became the target for the atomic bomb. She had personal stories as well - her grandmother having survived living in Hiroshima at the time - living well into her 80s. Emi was passionate and so personable. I would highly recommend this tour and Emi as your guide - if you can be so lucky!

Great guide!!
Marin was a wonderful tour guide and taught me so much about the cultural side of Hiroshima. I also learned things from her about the bombing that I didn't know. The only thing I had an issue with was the overwhelming number of people visiting the Peace Park Museum. Obviously Marin had nothing to do with that. I felt, however, that the museum lets so many people in at once that it's impossible to engage properly with the content. It was pretty awful, and I was glad to leave. However, I cannot say enough good things about Marin. I would take another tour with her anytime!!

Many Hiroshima tours focus on the city’s World War II-era history, with guided visits to attractions like the UNESCO-listed Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome. But the city hasn’t let itself be fully defined by tragedy. A local guide can help you navigate modern Hiroshima and learn more about the city’s rich culture. Activities like tea ceremonies, food tours, and day trips to see the famous Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima can show you all that the city has to offer.
