Our driver met us at the station with a nice big sign with our name. He was very helpful and considerate and did his best to make our day easy and interesting. We unluckily travelled on a holiday weekend so everywhere was busier than usual but our driver helped us avoid the worst crowds and timed everything perfectly.

We are a group of 8 traveling on a Celebrity Cruise and booking a private tour was one of best decisions and highlight of our sightseeing. Our guide spoke excellent English and the transportation was clean and comfortable. We saw more in one day than we expected along with interesting commentary on the sites. If you are considering booking off of a cruise ship, don’t hesitate!

Hiroshima Peace.Parknos a nice.memorial, but having come.Nagasaki first - I found the Nagaskai more dramatic in expereimce. The island tour was.nice, and gave me plenty of ideas for a return trip.

Our tour with Nobu Hiyoshi was an unforgettable experience. We started at Miyajima Island, admiring the stunning floating torii gate, strolling through scenic streets, and even meeting the friendly deer that roam freely.
Afterward, we enjoyed the best Okonomiyaki for lunch—perfectly layered and full of flavor. In the afternoon, we visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, where Nobu’s insights made the history even more impactful.
Nobu was an excellent guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate. Highly recommend!

The tour guide Mai was amazing and made this a memorable experience.
Apologies for mixing up the Hiroshima tour with this one, both very good but this one was the best visiting the mountains and the traditional thatched buildings.
It snowed while we were there which just added to the experience and Mai took us around and explained so many things we could have not learned on our own.
Truly an amazing experience!

This was our favorite tour on our trip. Mr. Shue, our guide was so kind and very knowledgeable. Great with kids too. We loved the Island and he recommended a fantastic lunch spot. He also recommended many spots for excellent photos. Highly recommend this private tour.

Fantastic day, our guide Mr Ikuta confirmed our plans the day before. We were then met 15 mins earlier than start time which was excellent as we only had the one day in Hiroshima. Mr Ikuta was professional, friendly and very respectful. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see the main sites in the comfort of your own private van. Mr Ikuta’s local knowledge was excellent and his English was proficient. He booked us in for lunch which was also excellent. All in all a great success and can’t be more thankful for his hospitality.

This tour not pleasant, nor is it meant to be. Mr. Obara was efficient, on-time and pleasant. We saw what we came to see, had time to think, and enjoyed his comments. We also appreciated how he adjusted the program to deal with rain and personal preferences.

Our tour of Hiroshima was an unforgettable experience that perfectly balanced historical reflection with the city's vibrant spirit. Our guide, Nobumasa, was exceptional. His knowledge of Hiroshima's past was profound, yet delivered with sensitivity and respect.
The tour hit all the major landmarks, including the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. The A-Bomb Dome, was a haunting reminder of the city's tragic past. We learned about the survivors' stories and the unwavering spirit of Hiroshima in rebuilding.
The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum was equally moving, filled with artifacts and exhibits that depicted the devastation and the ongoing pursuit of peace.
A welcome contrast came with a visit to Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima Island. The iconic "floating gate" was even more breathtaking in person. We explored the serene island, and even got to see some friendly sika deer!
The tour wasn't all history and somber reflection. Nobumasa also drove us around showing us some of Hiroshima's modern highlights and showcasing the city's remarkable transformation.
Overall, this Hiroshima tour was exceptional. It offered a comprehensive understanding of the city's past, present, and future. Nobumasa's expertise and passion for Hiroshima made the experience even more enriching. I highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a thought-provoking and memorable journey through this remarkable city.

Mr.Obara. our driver/guide was waiting for us in lobby. I mentioned about my husband walking problem when I booked this trip. To our surprise, he had a wheelchair ready for him. Thanks to that we could truely enjoy the tour. Lots of places are not accessible by car in Japan.
He was very knowledgeable about his city of Hiroshima.

Our guide/driver, Nobu San was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. He was well prepared with advance ticket purchase for the museum and ferry. He managed our time very well so that we could cover everything we wanted to see and visit. He also accommodated our special requests.

This city tour was our second of three private, small group shore excursions set up by Japan Oriental Tours. So far, I cannot express enough good praises for this company, the tour guides they contract and the two customer service representatives I’ve been working with – Ayako Adachi for this day in Hiroshima and Pham Thu Huong for our past tour in Kochi and our future tour in Kagoshima. Any and all questions and modifications were addressed professionally and competently. The tour guides were extremely likable, caring, well informed and flexible. Mr. Shuichi Aratani, our Hiroshima driver/guide, greeted us at the terminal smartly dressed in a suit and tie and brass name badge. He explained our destination stops with the help of diagrams and pictures in a notebook he carried, as did Ms. Kiyo Tomonaga the day before in Kochi. If you don’t have a lot of time to explore Japan but seek as much an immersion of Japanese culture as time permits, I highly recommend booking any tour set up by Japan Oriental Tours within Viator or other booking platforms.

Lovely guide and a nice easy way to get around to the sights. Unfortunately though, our group were disappointed by the lack of knowledge provided on the day. Most guides provide information on where you are and what you're looking at, but little was discussed and he was mostly there to get us around.
