Hana is a must in Maui- request Alma
Amazing day with Alma! We hit all of the stops, met locals, had a fantastic lunch at Uncle Russel's restaurant and met George! The banana bread and chili at Aunt Sandy's was perfect! The fresh fruit from Kai was worth the stop- we literally put the lime in the coconut and drank from bamboo straws. Alma was a gift - she went out of her way to make sure our family made memories and had laughs all along the way! So thankful for the experience!
Pro tip: Don't drive it yourself- trust me- the experience won't be the same! Not fair to the driver who will be stressed the whole time! Bring water shoes and cash to support the local vendors - everything is fresh!
Full disclosure- we had a group of 8 - so we didn't have to pick up other parties!

Outstanding Tour and Guide
My boyfriend and I were blown away by the passion and expertise of our tour guide Jordan. He went above and beyond in, making sure our day went smoothly. He communicated his personal experiences with the island to connect with us on a professionally intimate level. He made recommendations and consistently volunteered to take photos of families, partner, partners, and friends. He was a joy to be with. I felt like I was travelling with a fun family member! I wish our tour guide a great deal of success in his ventures.

Once-in-a-Lifetime Kīlauea Experience
Our Kīlauea Volcano tour was truly unforgettable. We were incredibly fortunate to witness Eruption Episode 51, and our outstanding guide, Jim Carey, nimbly pivoted the tour to get us to an amazing vantage point. Watching the eruption unfold before us was a breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will never forget.
Even without the eruption, Jim would have made this an exceptional tour. His depth and breadth of knowledge about the Big Island went far beyond the typical memorized tour-guide script. His genuine love for the island and his passion for its culture, mythology, history, and natural wonders, came through in every story he shared.
Jim’s knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to adapt in the moment made an extraordinary day even more memorable.

Favorite Tour
Sean is an excellent tour guide. Always friendly and smiling. Told us lots of history of the island along with some great stories of current life on the island. He was so kind and generous to us. It felt like touring with a friend. Highly recommend this tour.

10/10 Would Book Again!
Our driver was Clift, who gave us his "Clift Notes" providing a detailed itinerary for seeing all of Pearl Harbor activities, making the day not only possible, but very smooth! He also taught us about Hawaiin traditions and the history of the island of Oahu and specific sites in Honolulu as we drove. Amazing experience!

The captain and the crew...
The captain and the crew were very amazing, they took really good care of us! The cataraman looked almost brand new and had lots of outdoor seating so we could enjoy the views. We had a really good time, highly recommend it!
One thing that would have made the experience better was if there were good vegetarian food options.

Absolutely Worth It!!
Jacob was an amazing guide. He was incredibly easy to meet and to accommodate our schedule. He was very flexible and made recommendations all along the way. He tailored it exactly to what we wanted. He was incredibly down to earth. What an awesome experience!

Top Notch Crew
Crew was top notch. Unfortunately winds were outside of safety parameters and most of the boat wasn’t able to ride and so the activity was cut short. Greatly appreciate the crews attention to safety even at the expense of their own pocket books. Don’t let any negative review due to weather stop you from booking with this team. We will absolutely return.

Fantastic Tour of Kona Sites
Robert was a fantastic tour guide who kept us well informed of everything we drove by and gave us a history lesson on the Hawaiian culture. He was so enthusiastic about the sites we visited and talked non stop during the drive. I highly recommend taking this Kona tour.

Great experience with a Safe and Knowledgeable Driver!
Dell was a great driver. So much knowledge about Hana and the rest of Hawaii. Knows the road like the back of his hand. We talked to some other hotel guest that drove themselves in a rental car and they had some tense moments. My wife was nervous but after the trip she was so glad we saw this beautiful part of Maui. Waterfalls, Beautiful views, Black sand Beach. On the way back we stopped and watched surfers and wind surfers at a public beach that also had like 50 Sea turtles just laying on the beach. Dell made it it a great day. #TEAMDELL

Lori did a fantastic job...
Lori did a fantastic job explaining the highlights of the tour. I think the black sand beach and waterfall were my favorites. As a linguist, I appreciated Lori's discussion of the Hawaiian language and her tip about the orange dreamsicle ice cream at the Big Island Candy Company. She took us thru the lava fields of the 2018 eruption and detailed some of her personal experiences from that time. She splashed water on some of the roadside lava debris from 2018 and it still raised steam! The lava caves were fascinating--I got down with some effort but had trouble getting back up.

Kauai Cruise Ship Shore Excursion Journey to Waimea Canyon
This excursion on the island of Kaua'i was booked through Viator with Roberts Hawaii Tours. While the large bus was the most modern we were on during our time in Hawaii, and the driver/guide and tour itself were excellent, the meeting instructions given in advance left much to be desired. We were only given the time and an address for the pickup point. We left the ship as soon as we were allowed, after it docked, so we could figure out where the meeting point was, with little luck. Finally I phoned the number provided to get details. Somehow, Roberts Hawaii had been told that the ship would dock an hour later; so pickup would be an hour later. And, the description given to me of whom we were to look for was a bit vague. But, we did eventually connect. Our driver was courteous and very knowledgeable. We first stopped at the Hanapepe Valley Lookout, then at the Spouting Horn blowhole to see the water shooting into the air from the lava tube. We drove up the winding road to the Waimea Canyon State Park Lookout area. It was extremely windy and chilly this particular day, but it was definitely worth the climb and look! Mark Twain called this the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific". While it isn't as massive as the Grand Canyon in Arizona, it is breathtaking and beautiful. We could see a beautiful waterfall across the canyon from the lookout. In the winter, the colors of the canyon are more easily seen as there is less vegetation interfering with views; so we could see reds, browns and greens in the layers.
