What are people saying about Guatemala

Jose is the best!
Jose did an amazing job with our walking tour. We learned so much interesting history about Antigua! He also took one of my favorite photos of my entire trip for me at the Santa Catrina arch. Much as Gracias Jose!!
PS Be aware, part of the tour is a sales pitch for jade, that was the only thing we didn’t like, we did enjoy learning about the jade and its significance to the Mayan people, but we didn’t enjoy the sales side of things—I’ve never paid for a sales pitch before. Just something we didn’t realize when we booked.

We really learned a lot...
We really learned a lot about Guatemala! Luis was detailed and informative. He heard us discussing honey and offered to take us to a honey & Mayan bee tour as well. The textile portion of the tour was amazing! Absolutely loved hearing from the women. I’d recommend this tour!

De La Gente Coffee Farm experience
This tour was amazing. We met Carlos and his family. He was so excited to tell us about his coffee farm and how it has been in his family for 3 generations. We did not feel rushed at anytime and he took his time explaining every step of the coffee process from growing the coffee from seed and how to pick the coffee beans. His wife showed us step by step on how she grinds the coffee by hand using a grinding stone and roller. Finally we all sat down and had the freshest cup of coffee from the beans she just grounded! Also the translator did a great job for those that did not speak Spanish. At the end, we had an opportunity to buy coffee directly from Carlos which I did and he also gave everyone a free bag of his coffee. I highly recommend this tour..
Lastly, bring a good pair of walking shoes because Carlos is going to take you out to his coffee fields, which is a long walk uphill from his home.

A Must Do!!
We had so much fun in this event. The instructor was great, very informative, engaging all with lots of fun activities. We each made our own delicious chocolate bars. Learned so many new techniques and facts about the history of chocolate and how to use in different ways, teas, cocao, and syrups. Everyone was able to participate and share. It was a big class, 20 people and it seemed the kids, all boys enjoyed as much as the adults! Well done and we highly recommend this experience 🍫

Acatenango climb - great experience
Very demanding but also very rewarding experience. Climbing to Fuego after the 4 hour ascend is really hard but the view is rewarding. On the other hand the views from the campsite are very nice as well. Tour very well organized, excellent and supportive guides Roberto and others. Thanks. Tracks can be crowded be prepared for that!

Once in a lifetime experience
Amazing experience, Santos and Alex went above and beyond for us to feel comfortable and they made sure we got there safely. They shared tips and safety measures in order to enjoy this experience. I had terrible altitude sickness and struggled a bit during the hike but they were incredibly patient with me and encouraged me to keep going. I am incredibly grateful for them. Amazing experience, would do it again.

Perfect ride
This was one of the best experience we've had in Antigua. Our Guide Ethan and Daniel were very attentive and professional. They do explained some of the places, and the places we went to were really nice, places that we would have missed since it's in the surrounding city of Antigua. Definitely a must try, fun and adventurous.

Our driver Rene
Our driver Rene waited patiently for us to go through customs which took a long time as we could not access the QR code at the airport due to unavailable WiFi. Rene was a cautious, safe, friendly, helpful driver that went out of his way to make sure we were delivered safely despite all the rain and flooded streets in ANTGUA on our particular arrival day. Yes, I would highly recommend Viator.

Great start to the day
We were picked up on time and taken to the start of the hike. Both our driver and guide were friendly and spoke English. The hike up was relatively easy, we took multiple short stops along the way. Once at the top we were seated and provided with either hot chocolate or coffee while waiting for the sunrise. It was beautiful!!!! Worth the 4am departure. The way down was quick and easy. Breakfast was optional, if you took it you would have had to find your own way back to your hotel. We opted to not have it and take the ride. Overall a great experience.

I honestly had an amazing time. Everything was on time. Guides were amazing. He was so knowledgeable about the ruins. I would’ve never known what i know now if i had gone through with another tour. I feel very enriched in the culture. The shuttle drivers were also amazing and on time too. As a solo woman traveler i felt EXTREMELYYYYY safe

Fantastic Antigua tour
We had the walking tour with Felix and it was fantastic. We learned so much about Antigua, not just the buildings but also its history and people. Finally he was so kind to drive us to a restaurant outside of the city after the tour - he didn’t have to do that but we really appreciated it. Book the tour with him!

The Magic of Tikal
This was a really precious once in lifetime experience in a truly magical place. Miguel was such a great guide he knows this terrain like the back of his hand he truly gave us the inside track. Tikal is an incredible place the temples the forest the wild animals surrounding us I'd do this all over again.
