We had so much fun in this event. The instructor was great, very informative, engaging all with lots of fun activities. We each made our own delicious chocolate bars. Learned so many new techniques and facts about the history of chocolate and how to use in different ways, teas, cocao, and syrups. Everyone was able to participate and share. It was a big class, 20 people and it seemed the kids, all boys enjoyed as much as the adults! Well done and we highly recommend this experience 🍫

Very educational and interactive experience to learn about chocolate and eat & drink plenty of it. The teacher Jocelyn was great.
This was such a fun and educational experience! I absolutely loved how our guide walked us through each step of the chocolate making process. It was so interesting getting to see how chocolate is made from start to finish, and even better that we got to taste the different phases along the way!
I also loved how interactive the experience was. Our little dances and chants had us laughing, smiling, and fully enjoying the moment. It made the experience feel so much more personal and memorable.
But most importantly, I LOVED getting to craft my OWN chocolate bar! There was something so special about being able to make it myself and take part in the entire process.
Overall, this was such a unique experience, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something fun, interactive, and educational!

Such a fun and light experience we had so much fun and learnt a lot about chocolate and its history while getting to make some ourselves goofed around a bit. there is a beautiful hand made jewellery store in the same building that we explored while waiting I would absolutely recommend this experience thank you josaline
This was such a fun experience and definitely one of the highlights of our time in Antigua! My wife and I took the class together, and we both had a great time.
Our instructor, Josalina (I hope I’m spelling her name correctly!), was wonderful. She was friendly, engaging, and very knowledgeable. The class was not only hands-on and entertaining, but also surprisingly informative. We learned about the different types of chocolate, how cacao is processed, and the steps involved in turning cacao into the chocolate we are familiar with.
The best part was getting to make our own chocolate bars and chocolate drinks. It made the class feel much more interactive than simply watching a demonstration, and we got to enjoy what we made afterward.
Although we attended as a couple, there were also families in our class with younger children, and the kids seemed to be having a fantastic time. It really felt like an activity that could be enjoyed by couples, families, or anyone who loves chocolate and wants to learn more about how it is made.
It was a great combination of learning, hands-on activities, and just having fun. I would definitely recommend this class while visiting Antigua, and I would happily do it again!
Overall a fun experience. You get to make your own chocolate bar which is worth 1/4 th of the overall price you pay. Get to taste shots of tea, hot chocolate, etc.

Jocelyn was a fabulous teacher and kept everyone involved from the get go. We got to make our own bars right off the bat and then learned about the chocolate making process throughout an interactive class. Definitely worth it!
Fun, informative, and tasty experience in Antigua! The chocolate maker was fun and engaging with the whole audience. Making the chocolate was also fun! You can stay after and read more about the history of chocolate on their posters throughout the building.
This was an amazing experience mostly because the instructor was so much fun and very knowledgeable as well as kept the class interesting and absolutely memorable! She included the class in everything and was super friendly! I will be back with my husband so that he can take this class too!

Our instructor was knowledgeable and so nice. She made sure everyone was included. It was fun to dance a little and sing a little. I would definitely do it again if I find myself in Guatemala again.
We enjoyed ourselves much more than we expected to! The two hours went by quickly as we learned about the process of making chocolate, and we also got to make our own bar to take home with us! Our guide, Diane, was great; she kept us informed and entertained. Glad we went!

I would absolutely recommend this class especially after hearing from friends about other ones. Our host was energetic and knowledgeable. You got to try a bean through every stage, make your own bar, and learn so much about the history of chocolate.

While we arrived for our tour on the right day at the right time, in true Guatemalan style, the organizers had us in their schedule for the next day and said they did not have any spots for us! However, they found a solution and booked us for a new time slot. Thankfully, our day was flexible so we could do that.
Once we arrived for our new appointment, everything went very well. Our chocolate making experience was fun. Jocelyn was entertaining as she explained how chocolate is made. Overall a very pleasant experience.
We loved this class. Our instructor was so patient and hilarious with her stories. We loved learning about the Mayan culture and how chocolate was part of the culture.

This was definitely a fun hands on experience if you LOVE chocolate like we do. The entire experience and the presentation was interactive. You will literally taste raw cocoa fruit and roast and grind, in addition to learning the history of one of the world’s favorite foods; in addition to making your own chocolate bar to take home. Great for school age 8+. The kids in our session seemed to enjoy it very much. The presenter was amazing, bilingual, fun and patient with all the guests. I would definitely skip if you have small children or toddlers.

Visiting the ChocoMuseo Antigua was such a fun and flavorful experience! Learning about the rich history of chocolate in Antigua Guatemala — from ancient cacao traditions to modern treats — made every bite even more meaningful. Getting to make our own chocolate bars from scratch was hands-on and memorable, and tasting three different cacao drinks gave us a whole new appreciation for the depth of flavor cacao can offer.
Meeting new friends along the way and having such a knowledgeable, engaging teacher, Diana, made the class even sweeter! It was the perfect blend of history, creativity, and delicious fun!

It was such a fun experience. I learned so much about the history of cacao and chocolate. We made our own chocolate bars, made a group cacao tea and had delicious hot chocolate. Our host Jocelyn was so bubbly and informative! You should definitely do this!
