An Incredible Introduction to Frankfurt – Anne is Outstanding!
My experience on the Frankfurt Highlights English Walking Tour was absolutely fantastic, and that is largely thanks to our incredible tour guide, Anne. As a native English speaker originally from Utah, she was so easy to understand and brought an amazing energy to the entire group. As a solo traveler, I felt incredibly welcome from the very beginning, and the friendly, social atmosphere of the group made it easy to connect and make some new friends along the way. Anne has clearly put a lot of thought into planning this tour. She seamlessly wove together Frankfurt’s rich history, local culture, food, and architecture into an engaging, witty story. We started early at the Römerberg meeting point, which was exceptionally easy to find and allowed us to beat the heavy crowds. From there, we covered a brisk but perfectly paced three-hour overview of the city center. We were able to check off all the key landmarks—including the stunning New Old Town alleys, the St. Bartholomew Cathedral, and the bustling Kleinmarkthalle food market. Anne also guided us through the city's darker chapters with immense care and sensitivity, offering emotional insights at the old Jewish quarter, the memorial wall, and the cemetery. The tour structure was brilliant, featuring strategically planned quick bathroom and refreshment breaks so nobody felt rushed or exhausted. To top it all off, Anne went out of her way to send our group a follow-up email after the tour filled with her personal recommendations for local coffee shops, eateries, and extra places to visit during our stay. If you are a first-time visitor or a history lover looking for a perfect cure for jet lag, I highly recommend booking this tour and asking for Anne! It completely changed how I viewed the city.

A most excellent tour
Serkan Dogan is a wonderful tour guide. He’s knowledgeable and very interesting. My husband and I were hoping to have a tour that would show us places we normally wouldn’t see.. The combination of driving to places in his beautiful car and walking met all our expectations and more.

Heidelberg
Michael was a walking history lesson. He used the time we were driving to Heidelberg to walk us through the history of Germany from pre-Roman times. He was extremely knowledgeable and made for a fascinating morning. He easily answered questions and made sure we had time to explore. He was very friendly and personable. We would have taken an extended tour if available.

Walking Tour of Frankfurt
Ellyn was an informative Guide, who helped us get orientated to historic Frankfurt Germany. She spent extra time showing us around, and helping us understand the history.. We would’ve missed many interesting facts, Had we skipped the tour. Good job, Ellyn.

Modern Frankfurt, filled with towering skyscrapers and dozens of museums, also has plenty of historic sights and hidden gems to explore with a local expert. On guided Frankfurt tours, you can see and learn about all the key landmarks on foot—whether it’s from an open-top sightseeing bus, on a Main River cruise, or even via Segway. Day trips outside the city are especially inviting: Visit the impressive Heidelberg Castle, tour Baden-Baden and the Black Forest, or explore the medieval town of Rothenburg with its charming fairy-tale buildings.
