Great even in off season
Better than expected during the offseason. Went on a Sunday morning with my son and 1 other visitor. The driver stopped on the way for bathroom and snacks. Spent about an hour and a half walking through Strasbourg and Petite France. Then headed into the Black Forest for a stop and then to Baden Baden for another walk through the town. Great experience and highly recommend.

Willy was a great guide....
Willy was a great guide. While it was quick stops in each spot, he was very informative on the history of the areas. Any questions were answered with details. He also made sure we were all able to find our ways home after our tour finished.

Beautiful Germany countryside
It has been good trip, very interesting story told us by the driver. Comfortable mini bus.
It was very long day and the trip but its worth it.
May be next time we have to spend less time in the black forest to give us opportunity to see Strasbourg.
Thank you!

Marvelous guide
Thomas, our tour guide, was wonderful and very informative. He went above and beyond. Will always remember speed walking behind him going store to store in Strasbourg as he did his best to locate the ever elusive Sprite as requested by a fellow traveler. 😄 Loved this day trip!

Great day trip to Heidelberg, Baden-Baden, Frauenalb, Black Forest
This is a great day trip, but you need to be prepared for a fairly long ride (about 5 hours in the van) with short stops. We had a cloudy rainey day which took away from the experience but even then it was still worth it. Heidelberg Castel and Frauenalb Monastery are impressive. We suspect Mummelsee Lake would have been as well but by the time we got there it was pouring rain, after sunset, and foggy. We had the option to choose our start time and got lazy and chose 11:00am, but for a long day trip we should have scheduled for 9:00, no later than 10:00. Baden-Baden itself is not what we expected - it is a nice village but more commercial for shopping (we liked downtown Mainz shopping better)- we did have a great lunch on the plaza at Amadeus. Driving through the hills of the Black Forest is a treat, with many views to hills, valleys, streams, vineyards, and farms (weather took away from this for us but would have been awesome we are sure on a sunny day). Our driver was friendly and capable, but you should be aware that at the stops you are self guided - which was fine with us but I think that part of the experience may vary from driver to driver (our driver was quiet which was fine but I am sure there are others that will provide play by play as you drive).

Loved everything about it!
Everything about this tour was top-notch. Our guide Thomas was very knowledgeable and friendly. He offered to take pictures for us at every location. We were blown away at the beauty of the Black Forest and wanted to get lost wandering around Strasbourg. Walking through the insides of a castle ruins and having him tell us the little details on why castles were built the way they were (size of the doors, the direction of the stairs... so many cool tidbits) was beyond cool. The price of the tour seems a little expensive when you consider that everything that we did would've otherwise been free, but having transportation and Thomas's local knowledge made it worth it. It would've been great if we had been there a month earlier to see more of the autumn colors, or a couple of weeks later to see the Christmas market in Strasbourg (they were setting it up when we were there, and it looked AMAZING). This was certainly one of the highlights of our Germain trip!
