Florence 2days
Easy ticket purchase and skip the line for a wonderful immersive walk through the palace and gardens

Timed entry with audio guide
The Pitti palace is spectacular, so much artwork and historical architecture. The audio guide was not great, it didn't correspond with each room which is numbered. We also were not allowed into the costume rooms where you can see period dresses. No explanation why our tickets excluded this area.
So definitely go to the Pitti with a timed entry so you can walk right in, but skip the audio.

Camilla makes the Pitti Palace & Gardens come alive.
Camilla was a most excellent guide. Her experience as an art restorer and her excitement for all things art-related gave us a comprehensive understanding of the life of the various owners of the Pitti Palace. She used a microphone/headset system to allow being easily heard at all times. My 16 yo granddaughter, who is not a museum enthusiast, even enjoyed most of the experience.
I highly recommend this 3 hour experience.

Great Experince!
Guide Camilla was a gem - as an art restoration expert, she really provided an in-depth tour of the galleries and focuses on very interesting works and shared the back stories. The background on the families that lived in the Palace nicely complimented the other tours we did in Florence. The garden tour was amazing and well worth the time.

Timing
The location to gather the actual tickets is not at the Pitti Palace. Just plan extra time for your outing!

Great guide!
Camilla was an excellent guide. Very enthusiastic about her work and was able to pick up on our singular interests for a more in-depth explanation.

Good museum. Passed on gardens.
Didn’t do the gardens. It was too hot and the beginning entry stairs lacked handrails. Glad I didn’t go there as it’s being remodeled. The museum was great. Good explanatory signs. (I couldn’t get the guide app to work. Loved the fashion exhibit!

Uffizi and Pitti Palace
Wonderful Art, a lot of statues and stairs at Uffizi. Pitti palace was great. The fashion museum was worth the trip upstairs.

Very grand tour. We only...
Very grand tour. We only had two days in Florence. This was a five day ticket. If I was in Florence longer, I would’ve returned to the Uffizi to see more than what I had been able to cram into one day. We crossed the Ponte Vecchio and then we had lunch on the other side before we entered the Pitti Palace. We got into the Boboli Gardens but no one was there to guide us so we wandered for a long time and got lost and finally ended up on the way other side, and then we had to take a taxi back to our hotel by the Santa Maria Novella.

When to visit

Pitti Palace is one of Florence’s most important attractions, home to centuries of art and history. Booking a guided tour including skip-the-line tickets is strongly recommended.
Due to the sheer scope of the museum and its collections, guided Pitti Palace tours are by far the best way to see and learn about the highlights.
Large backpacks, bags, and umbrellas are not allowed inside; there is a free cloakroom at the entrance.
The palazzo is completely wheelchair accessible.
