Luca was very friendly...
Luca was very friendly and accommodating. The pesto was otherworldly and he made everything easy to understand. He also gave brief histories of some of the ingredients which really elevated the experience.

Pesto Heaven!
What a wonderful experience! We loved learning about the history, culture, techniques, and joy of cooking pesto! Luca was so knowledgeable, kind, funny, and a fantastic host. We shared a special evening together and made new friends. Highly recommend!!! Our meal was delicious!!! 😃❤️

Do not miss! A perfect taste of Ligurian cuisine!
We took the ferry from Monterosso to Riomaggiore for our class. It was a beautiful ride, but our time with Lucca was even more magical. Lucca is a delightful host. We learned history of the food and he was very funny and kind in his instruction. Our meal was perfectly delicious! It was our best night in Italy/CT so far. Would highly recommend this amazing class with Lucca!

Amazing - thank you!
A wholesome, picturesque experience with amazing hosts Barbara & Stefano! Be prepared for a tiny bit of a hike (really easy but not overly accessible to everyone) but it’s absolutely worth it as the views and Barbara & Stefano’s house is beautiful.

  • Riomaggiore can get busy in summer, so book tours and accommodations well in advance.

  • Bring comfortable, sturdy walking shoes, as the village roads are steep and often uneven.

  • While many hotels and tourist attractions in Riomaggiore are wheelchair and stroller accessible, the village’s steep and narrow lanes can be challenging to navigate for anyone with mobility issues.
