Phenomenal Cultural Experience
I highly recommend this family-run tour! We learned so much about Palenque culture and history, and the tour was filled with unforgettable experiences. We had the opportunity to observe and participate in traditional cultural dancing, make native coconut and papaya candy, and learn about Benkos Biohó and the history of the first free African town in the Americas. We also visited a museum and gained a deeper understanding of how the community continues to preserve its traditions, including making medicine out of plants and preparing food by grinding corn and rice with a mallet. The highlight of the tour was enjoying a freshly cooked, authentic Colombian meal prepared by the tour guides sister at their grandmother’s home. We sat together and ate on grandma's porch and truly felt like part of the family. This was much more than a tour—it was an authentic and meaningful immersion into Palenque culture, history, traditions, and community. I highly recommend this tour, run by Victor and his family. Their warmth and hospitality made the experience truly unforgettable!

Good Vibes
Party starts as soon as you pull away from the marina. Kevin will gladly play any song request you might have. First two stops are the Fort and Pablo Escobar Mansion then Beach Club, a delicious lunch at another beach (great for photos), Final stop Cholon (enjoy every minute of the party the time goes fast). Bring enough cash. Exchange USD for Colombian pesos prior. There is a fee with card transactions. Always confirm price before ordering. Beer is about 15000 COP Mixed drinks range from 45000-180000 COP. Kevin takes great care of his people and wants to ensure not only that everyone is having a great time but feels comfortable.

Good value for money as the tour included various stops and lunch. The meeting point coordinates were not exactly the address but I managed to find my way eventually. Give yourself plenty of time at arrival because it can be very busy at the port. Take cash to pay for the port tax. The guide Deli was friendly and accommodating. Also, on the boat ride back, be prepared to get wet as it is very fast!

Overall, this was an excellent experience. Jaime was a great host for a fun day exploring the islands. I would highly recommend this excursion for people looking to explore, swim, snorkel, and have great food at leisurely pace and without the party atmosphere found on other boats.

There’s enough in Cartagena’s candy-colored Old Town to keep you wandering for days, but plenty more awaits outside the city’s 16th-century walls. The Colombian town is within easy reach of some epic attractions—ranging from dormant volcanoes filled with mineral-enriched mud to postcard-perfect islands fringed by white sand and lapped by the Caribbean Sea. So whether you want to sunbathe, snorkel, or smother yourself in silt, booking a Cartagena day trip will save you the hassle of arranging your own tickets and transfers, leaving you free to absorb the Colombian charm.
